  2. Not sure how many on here use their Westy’s over the winter, but I’ve just fitted the Winter Pack to mine, just in case. When new, back in ‘93, it came with full wet-weather gear, including a hood and doors. None of which have ever been fitted. Until today. So I finally unpacked them and have fitted what I need to need to me through the dark months. I must be getting soft in my old age.

  3. Thanks - took some doing as I felt it was prudent to build a test server prior to the update. That took way longer that I'd hoped, but with literally MILLIONS of posts on here, I didn't want to take any chances on it all going horribly wrong!

  7. I'm still not bothering with the roof. To tricky for me to get in/out. Down here in the South I'm assuming fitting just doors will be sufficient to see me through the winter. Plus a Westfield beanie hat.

  8. Born and raised there, still have family and friends there - we’ll agree to disagree. It’s certainly now not the America I used to feel proud to be part of.

  9. Yes it is Glen Etive Don well spotted. To be honest it was a mild day. Gloves and hat on for the first couple of hours but after that just a light jacket. The heater and heated seats were actually getting me a little too warm at times!

  11. It is hard for us to comprehend the election process in the US, they have already started voting and yet there has been very little actual campaigning due to Covid. Sadly we are also being fed one sided news and shown the supposed breakdown of society there, yet in the vast majority of the US life goes on as normal. It is hard to get to the facts as each media outlet is biased in some way. The story that is breaking about Hunter Biden and Joe Bidens role in a deal in the Ukraine has been stifled by Facebook and Twitter for example, who knows why as when it was Trump junior they were all over allegations. Again statistics can be viewed many ways, the US is now the second highest death rath from Covid but when you look at it per capita it is 9th with Belgium being the second highest and Peru number one. We are tenth in the rankings and when you look at the figures the ones with the least are the ones where travel is very low and population density low as well. For many US citizens they see Trump as defending their way of life and one who is promoting the US patriotically, but Biden is seen as a socialist who wants to change everything to stop rewarding work and reward those who are at the bottom of the pile. I pass no comment on that but our friends who live in the States see the democrats as wanting to destroy what so many hold dear. It is strange when you look back on both sides of the atlantic at the political giants we have had in the past, who had vision and led their parties and countries that now we have such weak vacuous individuals chasing a few good column inches rather than doing what is right. I think Trump will win as the Democrats have put up a weak opponent as any quality one feared losing to Trump and that being the end of their chances, wait 4 years and it will be two new candidates to vote for. It is sad to witness from an outside perspective, which I am sure much of the world felt over the Brexit process looking in at us.

Just be careful not to nod off to sleep when you switch on the ACC, heated massage seat and lane assist ............ the thing keeps waking you up 🤣...... I've had mine 12 months now and still not used the auto self parking 🤣

  16. Thanks for all the advice Any S2000 owners gone down the throttle body route? Another appeal with this car is that is an option for more power in the future if needed! (well you never know!) costs and what's involved much appreciated Cheers Paul

  19. I dont think the basic advice of wear a mask and wash your hands has ever been the issue. It's the little nuanced details of all the extra regulations that are starting to needle people. Can't meet a family member in your house but you can in a pub. You can't meet more than 6 from 2 households but 20 sweaty blokes or lasses can play contact sports on the same bit of grass. You can go to a cafe for lunch but not a restaurant (scotland) Residents of Wales can't travel within the country yet people from massively higher infection rate areas of England can go to Wales. Northampton has the highest infection rate in the country and currently has no additional restrictions. I could go on. Granted you are always going to have the nobbers who break the rules regardless but that's going to be the case with or without new restrictions. Hopefully the introduction of the new 3 tier system on Monday will go some way to clarify things. However I can't for the life of me understand why it takes them so long to get organised and announce this stuff. You would have thought these plans would have all been drawn up a long time ago......

  20. For me, this is another point. We (the modern West) seem to place such an emphasis on length of life rather than quality. Totally the wrong way to do it IMO, for many reasons. I could waffle on for ages about this, but I'll leave it there as my thoughts about the subject don't often align with others!
