Being in the mosh pit with my son at his first ever live gig - when they played this it went ballistic! I told him “son it will be a VERY long time until you see a better gig”. I think it was 15 years by the time he found one 😁2 points

Awesome song.... which always brings up a memory of driving back from the Dales with a minibus full of D of E youngsters. I was driving, one of my best mates front passenger. We'd pulled over into a lay by (can't remember why) This song came on, And without any prearranged signal, My mate and me both started headbanging at the appropriate time in the song (you know when!) When the song had ended, we both started laughing and turned to look at our charges as it was so unusually quiet in the back. I've never seen so many bottom jaws touching the floor! 🤪😛😁1 point

I have visited your blog a time or two and I will definitely agree that "different" is where your heart lies! Would be a sad old world if we all liked the same music, wouldn't it? 😁1 point

I love this sort of thread. Music to me is all about exploration and new experiences. And if you've partaken of my blogs on here you'll know 'different' is my domain.1 point

Luna to Lono. Saw them in Edinburgh at the Voodoo Rooms - sweet, sublime sound. On 'Way to Mars', he reminded me of Lloyd Cole.1 point

Someone told me that in a France they call the MR2 something else - as “M R deux” sounds like “merde” - so could this be the sh*tter2? 😁1 point

Ah well, I was getting in to “industrial” In the 80’s RevCo were a spin off from two of my faves Ministry and Front 242. A certain Mr Trent Reznor even fronted them at one time. The live gig I went to in Glasgow was a treat - but glad I wasn’t up front of stage during Al Jourgensen’s “performance” where he drenched the audience. (I think it was a water hose - but he might have a very big one!)1 point

Thanks again @AdamR, it hammered down on the M6 and with the lack of handbrake and putting it on the trailer clearly with my eyes closed 😵 I had visions of being on the evening news after shutting the road network down with a stray MX5 letting loose. 🤣 thanks for the links, I think I can have a wheel sorted in. Couple of days, the straps may take some tactical bidding.1 point

The bloke on the right would just argue with it and tell it was making the wrong sort of charges....1 point

I currently work in Fire Protection in a local fire authority and I can safely say that there are lots of changes underway within the UK that will potentially make high rise buildings much safer. As you can imagine, the gears that drive this change move really slowly as per most things government related! Regulation changes such as the ones currently underway take a long while to go through consultation, rewrites, public scrutiny etc, but there is change coming.1 point

Haynes: As described in Chapter 7... Translation: That'll teach you not to read through before you start. Now you are looking at scary photos of the inside of a gearbox. Haynes: Pry... Translation: Hammer a screwdriver into... Haynes: Undo... Translation: Go buy a tin of WD40. Haynes: Retain small spring... Translation: PINGGGG - "Jesus, where the hell did that go?" Translation: An infant could do this... so how did you manage to **** it up? Haynes: Two spanner rating. Translation: Now you may think that you can do this because two is a low, teensy weensy number... but you also thought the wiring diagram was a map of the Tokyo underground (in fact that would have been more use to you). Haynes: Three spanner rating. Translation: Make sure you won't need your car for a couple of days. Haynes: Four spanner rating. Translation: You're not seriously considering doing this yourself, are you? Haynes: Five spanner rating. Translation: OK - but don't stand anywhere near it again. Hello you lovely lot! We have updated our advert in Westfield World 🙂 and you'll hopefully notice it says "Ask us about Track Day"... so if you are interested in or frequent the tracks then do mention it when you call for a quote. Not only do we offer individual track day cover as and when you go circuit seeking but we also have the option of adding a bundle of 5 track day covers at the start of your policy (at quote stage or renewal), which works out to be a huge saving if you're doing more than 2 or 3 in the year! As always - I'm here for support if needed. Carlie P.s. I miss seeing everyone at shows 😭1 point
