  1. Hi all I’m Matthew or call me Matt ! ive previously had a 7 type car many moons ago ... it was a Robin Hood the type with the suspension in the nose ! it was my first fun car I guess .. not including the Toyota MR2s I’ve had over the years ... after selling the Robin Hood I bought a TVR chimera and still have it 13 years later ... due to a loss of a loved one I inherited a Nissan GTR R35... as time passed I found it was too fast and stressful to look after ... I swapped cars for a weekend with a friend Nissan GTR for a Westfield. I had so much fun in my friends Westfield I realised the GTR had to go.. so I recently sold the GTR and bought my first Westfield.. And not looked back.. the GTR was an incredible machine but too fast for the roads imo, also a huge responsibility to keep it running . I must say I’m really enjoying my Westfield it’s reminding me what driving is all about 💖 ive changed the brakes, wheels , and put an msa roll bar on so far ! Next is some shiny pipes !! I look forward to meeting some of you fellow owners in the near future when the virus 🦠 has gone !!

  2. Or should I say the Scuttle Shake Express. On T1R tyres it spins the wheels in all gears on wet roads, needs taming.

  5. Hello you lovely lot! We have updated our advert in Westfield World 🙂 and you'll hopefully notice it says "Ask us about Track Day"... so if you are interested in or frequent the tracks then do mention it when you call for a quote. Not only do we offer individual track day cover as and when you go circuit seeking but we also have the option of adding a bundle of 5 track day covers at the start of your policy (at quote stage or renewal), which works out to be a huge saving if you're doing more than 2 or 3 in the year! As always - I'm here for support if needed. Carlie P.s. I miss seeing everyone at shows 😭

  6. Update...... The short version Spoken to sales manager. Said I had prepared a rejection letter, he said I might as well send it. So I think they knew it was going to be an expensive new box 32 minutes later rejection accepted. Just have to sort tow bar but he has offered to remove it as its my property. I will try and get some compensation but just happy that I won't have the worry. Thanks everyone. Car shopping again now

  9. As many of you are aware, my much loved and developed car has been sold. This was a huge decision to make but the time was right. The Speed Series and indeed everyone who organised, managed, competed against have been a huge part of my life for 15 plus years. Im privileged to have met some of my dearest friends through this club, the Speed Series family and memories will always remain exceptionally close to me. Winning the Championship in '09 will always rank as one of my lifes great achievements and something I'm exceptionally proud of. A huge thankyou to everyone who has made the journey so memorable, Tim, Luke, Terry, Nick, Del, the Ansonator, Garry, Matt and Gom to name just a small few, there really are so many who have influenced, inspired me and really taught me how to hold my drink! I'm very sure when my life settles down I'll be back along to an event or two for a socialise, a general p*ss take and to reminisce. I hope 2021 is a successful year for you all and that you manage to drive your cars in anger again soon. For now, it's over but not out, lang may yet lums reek! Rich

  15. Oooh - can I join too?? Like Sooty, I have a Rocketeer (but a mk1)! And talking of scuttle shake, try one without a roll bar - mine feels so much better now I have one.

  17. Here's another from me, This is my view of the Caps vid above with Pete driving. I let him through and tried to give chase but by the time I got past the yellow Westfield Pete was nowhere to be seen so I came in.

  24. Or get them to watch this... all they need is some rocks and a soldering iron .. or maybe it’s what the last owner did . In my experience cars are either good or bad. Yours is bad. Bad cars are a constant headache even if they work fine as you have no faith...
