  3. Common sense and intelligence do not go hand in hand. There are plenty of very smart people with the common sense that God gave to a doorknob. Look at the bright people who believe the moon landings were faked, the royals are lizard people in human suits and 9/11 was a massive government plot. Therefore if you want people to follow the rules voluntarily, those rules have to be: > Clear > Simple > Consistent > Fair They started off that way six months ago, but have become a mishmash of unclear, ill-delivered and sporadic daily bulletins that have left the public dazed and confused, not to mention angry and distrustful. This government still hasn’t got the message that the rules must apply equally to all or they mean nothing, starting with Cominic Dummings doing whatever he liked while everyone else was locked down through to an MP not wearing a face mask on a train when it was supposedly compulsory (he said he forget until someone took his photo...) and bars having to close at 10 - except those in Parliament for the MPs which don’t have to close. People see these things and think “if they’re not following the rules, then why should I?” without considering the possible consequences.

  4. Hello everyone! I've been MIA for quite a while, other things have got in the way but the Westfield has finally moved back up the list and I'm keen to get going and finally finish it. I hope you're all keeping well, especially after the year we've had so far. I've got some catching up to do, is there anything new with Westfield or WSCC that I should know about?

  5. Great clips there Andrew. That was the session I had with Simon. BEC's are so fast through the gears. Just reminds me of what a great day I had.

  7. If it's just for hobby use on the car- something like this should be fine- https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sealey-TM100-Professional-Digital-Multimeter/dp/B003KJ0BFC/ref=sr_1_40?dchild=1&keywords=multimeter&qid=1601574554&sr=8-40 Run away from all the dirt cheap 'Fluke' look a likes on Ebay etc. They're cheap for a reason. You won't get a genuine fluke item for less than £200! Even something like this will be fine, though the current range is low- https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/digital-multimeters/1469086/ or this- https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/digital-multimeters/1611625/

  8. Hi All, More items have been added to the clearance section this week. We have had a few questions about the remaining bike car parts we have so a lot of these have now been listed. Still a few more bits to go on, these will be added over the next few days. Many thanks and take care : )

  10. Two things: I seem to remember that the Commons bars are closing at ten, and this individual is not a government advisor, but aspired to be PM Corbyn at dinner party for nine under Rule of Six order. Let's subject him to the same endless (it's still being trotted out) tirade that Cummings was subjected to. Cummings is, of course, an arrogant sod, but Corbyn is a publicly funded, senior elected politician who's still an idol for many.

  13. I think the 'we' bit begins when people chip in to help Andy with stuff like running costs, transportation etc...

  14. Depends if you're there or not. Very camp if you are, a bit less if you aren't. Loads of room to camp, usually OK depending on TDO I think?

  16. Late to the party. A couple of vids from me. First one, me chasing after @Michael Whitworth until I pass, then a couple of laps from the rear camera. Second one, is pretty similar to start with. Pete chasing Mike, and then getting a few clearish laps afterwards.

  17. The photos didn't help facilitate a sale? I'm shocked... 😆 So, how about this... I'm a firm believer that life is for living, and experiences trump bank balances. And they say the best things in life are free, right? Well the Munter is one of the best things in life. So, it clearly now follows that the car can be collected free of charge. That's right, zero pounds, to anyone who wants it! The only caveats are as follows: 1) The car gets released as-is, except I'd like to keep the AFR gauge, harnesses and steering wheel for a future project. With some fuel in, it'll head straight to a track and run all day once you add steering and occupant retention devices. 2) The spares are all 'up for grabs' by separate sale, at very sensible (cheap) prices. 3) The new owner is to let me know when they plan to attend their first 3 track days in the car, invite me along, and add me as a second driver on the booking if I can make it. I'll provide 'support' with the car and a bit of instruction too, if you like. I'm offering this to the Westfield club first, as I trust anyone who takes the car on will use and enjoy it for what it is, and not just flog it immediately afterwards either as a complete car or in bits. While I am aware I can't stop that happening, it would clearly leave a pretty sour taste and be absolutely against the ethos of this post! Form an orderly, COVID-secure queue... Or not. I'm not sure how this will go down, but it's worth a try

  18. Very well said Scott. This is classic, apparently the excuse given? They're staff canteens, not bars.
