Charts showing this and that and figures giving polar opposites are easy to post, as are quotes from various Scientists who disagree with the latest thinking.... The Government, whoever they are, Tory, Labour or Raving Loonie have to hope for the best but plan for the worst..... The Country is going to become ever more divided over this.... Businesses on their knees and god knows what will happen to the economy in general up to Christmas. IMHO the Government has tried to do the best with the information given to them by the (majority of ) experts, but even they don't all agree. I fear that this isn't going away anytime soon and if a vaccine isn't found for another 6 months, I really cannot see how this is going to end? On the radio today, there were calls from the public to start going back to normal and whoever dies dies..... I really don't envy whoever is Governing currently - a real poison chalice! Mart.2 points

Okay, I noticed there are alot of questions about child seats in westfields / kitcars with so few suitable solutions / answers with photos. I hope the following helps someone. My Boy is 4 in 2 weeks weighs around 15.5kg and is below average height for his age. He is excited to go out in daddies 'racing car'. So a safe and legal seating arrangement is required. Car is 1996 SEW with Westfield fibreglass racing seats with vinyl upholstery. 4 point harness with 3" shoulder straps ad 2" waist straps. Did alot of research on here, locost sites and Caterham forums looking for a solution. I bought a narrow cheap booster seat from Amazon and also a bubble bum. Both of which fit, but have a big gap at the back. Leaving the existing seat providing zero back and head support. Obvioisly cushions would pack it out but the belts are also too high to fit correftly on a childs Shoulders.. so doesnt work for my car / child combo certainly would'nt be me going ALARP with the risk to my child. So cut to the chase... i have bought a group 2/3 booster from Halfords and it seems to fit very well. Base is narrow enough to fit snug in the racing seats and the back pivots at the bottom and rests against the existing seat. Lap straps can tighten nicely into his hips and the shoulder straps go through guides to set the correct height for ages 4 years old to 12... 15kg - 36kg. All for £25 https://www.halfords.com/baby-and-child/car-seats/booster-seats/halfords-essentials-high-back-booster-seat-102636.html And photo .... Combined with a helmet, goggles, warm clothes and perhaps some ear defenders (exhaust is my side) we're good to go...1 point

One thing that has not been considered. 6 people turn up in Westies, they sit at a table and have breakfast plus a jolly good chat. 6 other people turn up in any car be it a Westie or not and sit at a different table and have a jolly good chat. This is just two groups of people who happen to drive the same sort of motorcars. This situation was discussed when the Black Country area suddenly had a prohibition order put on it due to the nut cases that use the Black Country Route as a race track, and was answered by, "So if I come to a pub and someone else does in a similar car then how can we be deemed to be doing anything wrong" So if two groups of people, who just happen to drive the same type of motor car happen upon a venue at the same time, and abide with the any current regulations and can have a jolly good chat with each other, what is the problem, it just needs everyone to use a bit of common sense.1 point

Norman was NOT banned. To my knowledge, no member has ever been banned. My recollection is that Norman decided he didn’t want to become a Trader (his French B & B) and couldn’t continue to promote it as a standard Member so elected to not carry on. He departed on perfect terms with an unblemished record.1 point

You listen to The Jeremy Vine Show, the upmarket radio version of The Jeremy Kyle Show? Stop that immediately, you’re just encouraging him.1 point

If we only allowed songs from the year 2000 onwards this would be a very quiet thread1 point

As pointed out in a letter to the Telegraph this is a rather loaded graph to illustrate concern. If cases doubled EVERY week the entire UK population would have Covid by Christmas.1 point

Hi everyone , I joined the club last year after buying a mega s2000 .Owning a Westfield has been on my bucket list for about 20 years and I finally got the opportunity to get one last year .Ive just renewed my membership and realised I'd never posted on here .l,ve been on a few runs with Lancs lads after meeting Steve Livesey . I read with interest people's s2000 build diarys and try to pick up a few ideas. I,m finding the Honda engine brilliant and a joy to drive . Alan1 point
