  6. Hi everyone , I joined the club last year after buying a mega s2000 .Owning a Westfield has been on my bucket list for about 20 years and I finally got the opportunity to get one last year .Ive just renewed my membership and realised I'd never posted on here .l,ve been on a few runs with Lancs lads after meeting Steve Livesey . I read with interest people's s2000 build diarys and try to pick up a few ideas. I,m finding the Honda engine brilliant and a joy to drive . Alan

  8. That looks to be missing a few structural members as well, though it may be the tricky angles in some shots. It looks a bit like someone may have taken an older pendulum pedal type chassis and, er, started chopping out some stuff, and welding fresh in, then just abandoned it, part done. Or maybe it’s started life as an accident damaged chassis, with bits cut out and replaced, with the intent to improve at the same time, and again, was abandoned part way through. Either way a HUGE. Amount of caution required, you’d really need to know your stuff to take it on.

  9. there’s parts of that chassis that don’t look quite right to me and it’s missing a few brackets here and there. I’d want to be very certain it had a Westfield chassis plate welded to the front tube if I was to consider buying it.

  10. A couple of easy suspension tweaks gets that behavior under control pretty effectively. That doesn't excuse Honda for not doing it right in the first place...

  11. I had an 04 so the first of the facelifts, this was back in the day (2006 I think) before I did any track driving, but it was the car I learnt to drift so it can’t have been that bad. I can’t remember crashing it anyway!

  12. A note that this is my first kit car/7 style car and it's been incredibly easy to move from fast Audis and BMWs. The switchgear and gearbox/engine combo has made it a great on road newbie car, while the power to weight and setup would please most track aficionados.

  13. I prefer to have the commonly used steering wheel controls to be on paddles as I didn’t like how much my hand came off the wheel to get at the button. Plus it gives a less cluttered view. Granted It’s not my design apart from small tweaks but it’s perfect for me.
