We had joining us Andy and Anne, Andy and Becky, Andy Greenstreak, Bill and dad Bill, Mike Snappy and son Ryan (14), Nigel O, Martin Neptune, Simon, Dave E, Ian K, Jim, AndyR in the Porsche, potential new members Jay and daughter and later on Chris and Mo. 14 cars not bad to say we only decided on Friday night to put a run on, so thank you all for coming. Breakfast at The Bull Heat wave? it was freezing up there yet as I write this I am stood in shorts and a t-shirt, weird. After breakfast and Ian's stories of his big, hot tunnel we decided to go and count how many cyclists were in the Peak District. It sometimes felt that way, Tour de France on the TV and they all come out, says she who is on a cycling holiday next week, it's Rutland Water so it's 95% off road thankfully. The roads were relatively quiet as it was still early, you should have seen the traffic that we passed in the opposite direction coming in to the Peak District as we exited later on. Simon has got a great trick there, photographing the cars in front and picking up the others behind in his mirror, just like Ian did the other week, I am jealous. I notice the naughty Honda Boys were at the back, the fastest place in the convoy, on a VTECH Venture. I have no pics on the move today. After a good wiz around, finding all the chevrons that we could, a squeak of the tyres and suddenly we were back where we started, the most COVID friendly place for all of us to be. The cake arrived, what is it with these Brummies, just like @Andy Westwood, Becky's cake came out twice as big as everyone else's, so we cake shamed her while Andy said his prayers. Mo was busy 'losing her glasses' but Chris asked me not to mention it, hope the 'doyle' fitted anyway. So here we are parked in some odd places at The Bull at lunchtime And soon one by one we left, with there being so many I thought I would ask if we had cleared the bill, I remember last year walking out without paying in the town centre, I felt like a right crim. Most places we pay on ordering and here is no exception so I don't know why they changed it today, I think to stop us all from coming inside - COVID friendly see. Simon next to Andy's Porsche Jim's new Honda Mike and Ryan's car Bill's car Andy and Anne's car Wow that was a great turnout but now we are restricted to meeting in a group of 6 people for the forseeable future. Glen and I will still be out and about and perhaps we can work out a fair way to see some of you. Thanks for coming everyone.7 points

What a great run out this morning. May have hit a rabbit whilst dodging a squirrel and then gone fully airborne all before even seeing another Westfield. Then as the sun came out and all the Westfields arrived! It was great to see so many out! After a quick brew @Julie Hall - Peak District AO took us on a fantastic run. I had most of the pack ahead of me with the rest of the Mega S2000’s and a lovely Porsche following. There was a great westfield snake over the cat and fiddle. 3 times in total over the cat and fiddle in one day really isn’t enough! Even had a bit of fun with a Ferrari and a GTr on the way home.6 points

Great to see everyone and thank you Julie for organising a fantastic trip out ... was lovely to see a train of Westfield's from the back with my heated steering wheel on full 😉 Saying no names so embarrassment is spared ... but remember to look on your nose before asking staff and fellow members where your glasses are or @Julie Hall - Peak District AO will feature you in the magazine 😉 🙂 Some pics from me which I'm afraid aren't great as I was taking them through the windscreen.4 points

I’m gutted that I missed this one😩, I didn’t see the post till late last night and I’m suffering from a leg injury so my gear changes would be very painful. Weather permitting and me seeing the post in time I hope to join you all on the next on.2 points

For Sale – Westfield SuperTec – Enclosed Trailer – Spares Package After owning and developing my very loved car over the last 12 years, I’ve made the very reluctant decision to move on. To say this has been an extremely difficult decision is an understatement but due to other commitments personal circumstances it’s sadly time to move on. I’ve had an absolute blast with the car, it’s brought me an amazing amount of pleasure and has introduced me into the Westfield Speed Series family, where I’m happy to say I’ve met some of the best people I now call my best friends. History The car was originally built to a very high standard by Paul Aspden, the founder of Playskool Motorsport in circa 1999/2000. It was also owned by WSCC legends, Steve Davies and latterly Mike Allard (The Duck). Mike ran the car successfully in the Speed Series for a time before I purchased her in around 2005/6. It ran a high performance Vauxhall XE with around 235hp and was mated to a Quaife Syncro box. I bought the car as a successor to my mighty 98bhp crossflow narrow body, which I competed with for a year or so before being made an expert in the Speed Series after 2 wins, those were the rules back then! 235hp was a bit of a step up, but after a few pant painting outings with Mike’s words of “be careful or it’ll bite” still ringing in my ears a reasonable amount of success followed eventually winning the Speed Series outright in ’09 after further development and more power, a Quaife Dog Box and 262hp Following the success of the ’09 season, I took a little time off and just did favourite events for a couple of years, chasing championships, moving house, getting life in general all come at a cost. So where are we going with the ad’ I hear you say. WELL, the biggest developments came in 2012 when a very good friend said, my dad says you can have that engine in the workshop if you’re interested….and here the journey to 357hp begun. Two years spare time lost in the workshop, developing parts, engineering them, trial fitting, many late nights, a whole load of goodwill and a substantial amount of money later, the SuperTec was born! Not for the faint hearted, this car will do 0 – 60 in 2.5 seconds and will get you to 100mph in under 5.7 seconds, it really is that quick! Spec as follows: Engine Freshly rebuilt in 2020 and still to be run in! 2.0 Supercharged Duratec now producing 357bhp on NMS Rollers (525kg car) Carillo Steel Rods Supertech Pistons – Brand New for 2020 Newman Cams Cosworth Steel Crank Uprated Valves Uprated Springs Rotrex C30-94 Supercharger on Custom lightweight mount 750cc Injectors Custom 4-2-1 Exhaust with 50mm headers Titan Dry Sump Titan Oil Pump SBD Dry Sump Tank All Newly made Braided oil lines with matt black couplings Small Lightweight Denso Alternator on custom Bracketry TTV 1 Piece Custom Crack pulley, keyed to suit crank All Custom engine Mounts – engine solidly mounted Bespoke Motorsport Wiring Loom Custom PCCB Delete plate Throttle Bodies Bespoke Polycarbonate Plenum Bespoke Aluminium Intercooler Upgraded Golf Radiator Lightweight Plumbing with Co-ordinating Blue silicon hoses, (Water and Air) Davies Craig Electric Water Pump and controller DTA S100 ECU Controlling Engine and Sequential Gearbox Traction Control – wet and dry with interchangeable dial switch settings, Launch control 10 Litre Foam filled Fuel Tank Fuel swirl Pot High and Low Pressure Fuel Pumps 7” Superclutch SBD Lightened Flywheel Always run on Millers Nano Grade Motorsport Oil Brand New Magnecor leads and plugs It's also worth noting that the car is only running 0.7 bar of boost, there is a lot more power to unleash with fairly minimal effort or expense . I should have left it really because it was @Greenstreak-Andy D who had left his details on the track and trace form for the whole group, they would have knocked his door not mine😃1 point

Absolutely Dave, it's a hell of a car and a proper bargain at that money. I really hope we see it out in the Speed Series again, it's such an awesome car.1 point

Just enjoyed the morning and didn’t want any bad feeling. Julie and Glen did a great job and was happy to settle that. But you are right, I didn’t get to the cafe for a second time, as i had to be back for Oscars rugby! Andy1 point

I’m one, I phoned them from the road when I realised, to ask if I could pay by phone, but they said it had been paid, just couldn’t tell me who I needed to pay! (Latte and burger, no idea who the coke was.)1 point
