Difference Don is that in the UK we have lost the will to say Just F...ing do it. Here we would have at least two dozen meetings before agreeing the spec. Then before appointing the firm to do it they would have to tender with all of their diversity policies and any other desirable boxes ticked. Then they would wait until a committee decided which quote to go for and before they could start work there would be bio study to undertake and if it was an old roman road an archaeology study. If that all passed then they would start the job but as they have quoted so much it will have to take a long time otherwise the authorities will feel it has taken not long enough to to have cost so much. This happened near Bath. A road collapsed and the council took so long a man built hos own bypass and recouped his money before they had done the road. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-somerset-28639196#:~:text=Mike Watts created the shortcut,February due to a landslip.&text=Mr Watts rented part of,road%2C bypassing the damaged highway.1 point

THANKS: I'm gobsmacked! I didn't expect many views or comments for a 'wacky' Music blog that's well off the script of Westfields! .... & blog visits nearing 400 ! >>>>> During lockdown's early days, being stuck in twiddling me thumbs with brain going doolally, I thought it would be interesting to document some of my audio journey. Unfortunately/fortunately (delete as appropriate! ) the WSCC Forum was the most practical place to do this. Thinking that I would write a few, get zero interest and slowly drop them, I am surprised that 14 have now been published. It is becoming more difficult to blunder across inspiration for varying blog input, so numbers may wane - but I'll keep it up as and when I find something interesting to me, just in case it is interesting to some of you. Music has helped me through these 'difficult for everyone' times, and the support I've had means a lot. SO - THANKS to those who have shown interest and fed back your appreciation.1 point

Just looking at the spines there - some bands I have, and some I know, B-52s, 10000 Maniacs (+ Natalie Merchant), Transmission Vamp, Edie Brickell, Devo and others. Is that Hustler, and Ninja Sex Party? Looking through my albums, here's the soundtrack album from Cool World, might be something on there that tickles your obscureness - my ex was a fan of My Life With the Thrill Kill Cult and other trashy bands (Zodiac Mindwarp etc).1 point

That was my first thought too - 330mm must feel like a truck wheel in a 7-type car. Mine is 270mm Two suggestions:- The variety of steering wheel designs / sizes / shapes out there is almost as wide as the number of Westfields - basing a design on a single steering wheel design is going to massively restrict the sales potential He'll be up against a very well established and highly respected WSCC supplier - @Kit Car Electronics I have to admit though, the render / mock-up looks very good1 point

Would have thought there'd be little demand for a 330mm. Majority of wheels used are 300 - 280 mm.1 point

So, here's a wee teaser for what's potentially in the pipeline.. Lee at Summit Technologies, renowned for the Raptor wireless steering wheel control and Talon digital control system amongst others, is looking into a concept design for kit cars predominantly the Seven/sevenesque. Current concept design is based around the OMP Targa 330mm flat 6-hole PCD steering wheel with a view that, should there be sufficient interest in another 3-spoke flat or flat dish wheel, then design progression will follow. Looking for feedback, comments and interest so let him know what you think .. keep it clean! π1 point
