Left home at 9.30 and just in the door at 7.30 and got coffee, had some great fun today enthusiastic in places and pottering in others stopped for lunch at Cameron’s ( a real hidden gem) then out over the Whitebridge road and took some pictures. Stopped in by David and Elaine for coffee and cake then home over the backroads. A great day out7 points

Mikalor? I think that is Spanglish for Jubilee Clip, you learn something new every day. That's the best part of club meets and where you get the best value for your membership when you pick up good idea's from other club members. These tips cannot be googled or taught at college, they are life lessons, learned by living your life, getting out into your cars. We were quick to advise Chris to put a spacer underneath his headlights to lift them up away from the nose and wings. With a spacer fitted Here are a few more photo's of you guys living your lives Front seat view Avoiding obstacles I couldn't find the launch control button in Martin's Duratec engined Westfield, despite seeing it in action in my rear view mirror. Very growly too. Luke's Hot Rod with Bill's classic next door Woke up to drizzle this morning so in hind sight it was the right thing to change the day. I think we will try for next Sunday, same time same place, depending on the weather again, I will set a post going later.5 points

Thanks @Julie Hall - Peak District AO & Glen great to be back out with like minded folk. No pictures from me to add though as I was too busy watching my temps & dodging all the lumps and bumps in the road that’s loosened off my ARB4 points

Hi all, Firstly thanks for all the help and advice so far from everyone... yesterday was the magic day I became the new owner of @a15cro’s stunning car! Had a fantastic drive back for around 200 miles! Really excited to get plenty more in and hopefully find a few meets out here in the east! Thanks! Danny3 points

@Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO @Andy Westwood @RobH72 @Andy_R @BillyPee https://www.bikerpics.co.uk/p521372124 Look at bikerpics.co.uk 8/8/2020 11-11.30 am, there are some good shots of us in our cars travelling along, there is an advantage to the 50 mph average speed cameras.3 points

Some great pics indeed, though the prices are rather cheeky! I like this one! We'll have to drive it again and I'll take the pics for free! @RobH72 look at the difference in the pics between yours and mine, I know you were two up, but your ground clearance and tyre to arch clearance is still much lower than mine!3 points

Brill photo's Andy, thank you and the nose cone's make for a good viewpoint. We have had another great day out meeting at the popular Bull I Thorn cafe, Buxton. Martin was parked over in the naughty corner so I joined him. He also had polished his car in lockdown, Luke's was even shinier. After lots of breakfast's and catch up's it was time to move these magnificent, mechanical machines, that's what we own them for afterall. I chose the flowing bends of the Bentley Brook road before heading onto the lanes around Dove Dale, where our small cars are perfectly suited to be chucked around, finishing off with the alpine twistyness of the Crowdecote road, perfect. We enjoyed good views all the way and only picked up a bit of traffic in Ilam, cars always turn into the car park there leaving the hill clear. This fetched us straight back to The Bull I Thorn, well, why not? the cakes are good. Slowly down the hills of Dove Dale Dove Dale On the way to Ilam Finding some traffic in the village centre, bye bye as they all turned into the car park Ilam is very pretty with it's swiss style cottages Arriving at the Bull the bonnet's soon came off, V8 sounded lovely too We chose to gather safely in the car park Bill was first to succumb to the indulgences ahead, conveniently having his own table going on. His car had passed it's MOT so Bill chose the native car this week instead of one from his Germanic portfolio. Then it got messy as we wrote off the lemon cake The Cake Meister, Andy, at work, although he has competition as the other Andrew had 2 pieces today Indulging outside the Bull Chris turned up and it was time to 'Pass the Magnet' to Andy whose wing stay had broken after the run last week. Chris had his new headlights firmly attached this week. Excellent service from Patrick and Jason at the Westfield Factory for both the headlights and the wing stay, the Peak District area is not on commision I might add! This magnet was like a hot potato though as Andy was quick to suggest that Luke should be the holder of it with a loose anti roll bar and a cooling issue anything could happen. Watch out, it might be your turn next! Luke had tales having recently returned from his Scottish camping holiday in the Westfield, had he shrunk in the rain? having lost 2 stone and looking about 10 years younger, reminds me I must buy some lettuce. Well done Luke. Dave's car had passed it's MOT so he was able to join us too We stayed and tyre kicked for a good while, the sun even made an appearance at one point until it was time to go home, where does the time go? I have just had a new Coolex radiator on my car and having fitted bobbins it has placed the rad further into the nose cone, resulting in the pipe not being long enough. As shown below it is a bit of bodge job to lengthen the bottom hose to the radiator. Glen does not do bodge jobs so decided we needed a more permanent solution. He got a longer piece of Aluminium pipe made up like this When we got home the coolant was drained, again, and it went from this jumble of hoses, pipes and jubilee clips to this, one length of pipe. Miraculously nobody got burned as we dodged hot pipes with arms and legs. Thank you to everyone that came and enjoyed the day with us, especially for your flexibility when I changed the day to dodge the rain, hope to see you next weekend for more of the same. Don't forget, watch out for that magnet!3 points

Blimey, that's quite a difference... Probably partly due to the fat bloke behind the wheel! 😂 I'll have to do more tweaking and stay away from the Pringles!2 points

Yep I 'll be there. Never thought I'd say this but so long as forecast isn't torrential. My run home today was probably the scariest drive I've had in the westie. Soo much standing water it became a surf board!! 1 HR 40 mins to do 60 miles1 point

Great turnout, sorry I couldn't make it 😭 That magnet is sure making the rounds... Hopefully I don't get it back anytime soon! On a positive note, I think I've finally tracked down my coolant leak! Woo-hoo! While I was helping my son recommission the JCW Mini (they make Westfields seem robust!), I thought I'd drop the nose cone off the Westfield to copy @Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO's front number plate solution (imitation is the best form of flattery! 😉)... While digging around I noticed some moisture on the rad near the bottom hose I hadn't noticed before, a few replacement Mikalor's and I think it's sorted!!! Now to finish off the number plate....1 point

I’m incredibly fortunate to have met you Andy and promise to take care of that wonderful machine for years to come! I’m sure the smiles on my kids faces when I got it home matched Anna’s 5 years ago and plenty more smiles are on the way!! Hopefully catch up with you at Stoneleigh!1 point
