  2. Oh dear, not another cycle wing failure! The Westfield parts team were great when mine failed, had a new one delivered in 2 days. I think we may have a new recipient of the "magnet of shame"...... 😂

  7. Thanks Rob, really helpful. I'd actually also just stumbled on automotive solutions. http://automotivesolutionsandracing.com I'm in no hurry as car drives ok for now, so will do a little research on all these.

  8. Hi, been looking into similar myself in the area (just in case something I can't fix drops off the car 😂). Toybox use Forge Garage in Lullington for all their MOT's etc and they have a few Westfields on the Facebook photos. We also have Fearns Garage in Albert Village that advertise IVA prep on kit cars so you'd think they know their way around a Westfield? I've also been told there's one in Langley Mill (automotive solutions?) but not 100% sure on that one

  11. Er, five hole? If you mean the mounting holes, should that not be six? Also be aware that there are two common six hole PCD’s 6 x 70mm PCD is probably the most common, (Momo etc) 6 x 74mm PCD is the other one. (Nardi, etc) 6 x 70mm is probably by far the most common one, though, if only making one 6 hole option.

  12. Guys, I have been involved in the build of this car from the start and can honestly say it's stunning. A very nicely packaged car, finished to a high standard. The engine starts on the button, idles very smoothly and sounds great! Personally, I think this is a very fairly priced car for the spec and finish. Anyone viewing the car will not be disappointed. Nick.

  14. Firstly I must say, what great photo's everyone added to this post, thank you xxx @Andy Westwood oh dear, we had that happen and Glen got it beefed up to prevent it happening again. It might be worth getting the other ones done too. Watch getting the metal too hot because it could distort the stay and then you might find the wing doesn't fit straight back on without bending it. Glen painted them in Hammerite but don't expect it to last long, our roads are good at shot blasting!

  15. Am now sorted. A friend of a friend was selling an 8 month old one of these https://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=6XE62EA&opt=ABU&sel=NTB Its immaculate, still has 28 months warranty and was just about half the price of new. Its a cracking bit of kit and I'm debating keeping it and giving her the old one as I've not told her I've got it yet..........

  17. I spied this on FB this morning- https://www.gopro-remote.com/ I've been using a Hero 7 black this year and have found the connection between the App (Iphone 😎 and the camera flaky! I'm using an external power lead and have found it's slightly better with the battery removed from the GoPro, but there are still occasions when it doesn't connect! I believe the Gopro remote to be equally patchy too. Gopro support is shockingly bad. This hard wired solution sounds better. I've no experience or connection with the company, but though some of you may find it useful.

  20. Some do, some dont, but generally yes, is true. A uni laptop used by a youngster will be abused and misstreated almost more than a professional laptop, and you need the same reliability basically as you will have all your stuff, papers, contacts and resurces there. While the average mid range quality computer will last forever in a home environment not being moved more further away from the sofa or the desk/kitchen table i would not bet my money on it lasting 6 years of instensive use. If you see my whole coment recommending a laptop you will see that I'm only saying it needs to be top quality regardless of the ultimate performance. A midrange brand top performance model wont have the quality and the reliability. is just a fact. it may last, as my fiat punto lasted for 190k miles in Spain against most of the odds, but is not the common trend. That is why midrange brands are not in the shopping list of working computers, as fiat puntos were not a choice in fleet cars. The point of a top quality laptop with the adecuate performance (not more and not less that the one you need) is to work in the same way till you replace it because something breaks fruit of abuse, rather than getting old, sluggish and underperforming... that is how most of midrange laptops die. Took me a few iterations to realise this but im spending much less money in computers since that.

  23. Come along to the next Thames Valley meet at The Bird in Hand Knowl Hill on 12th August from 12ish if you are free. There should be a variety of Westfields to have a nose around and plenty of advise available. You might even get a ride in some as well.
