Another great run, thanks @Julie Hall - Peak District AO for finding great roads on a busy Saturday morning. Just think, they'd have been even better if we didn't have to wait for someone who couldn't find us 😉 Here's my pics: If you see @Trevturtle's eye's watering any time in the future, we'll know @Julie Hall - Peak District AO's found him and 'given him' his onion! 'Zee Germans' are following me:6 points

Well it didn’t go bang!! So that’s a result in my books !! And if it’s not leaking oil it’s better than mine at the moment, and it’s running so that’s better than Martyn’s!! So winner / winner 😉2 points

Put the kettle on, you might be a while, a lot happened. Andy Westwood showed us his new, hinged, half doors which he says are great and recommends them A Caterham parked up with us next to Andy, his club met at 7am this morning in the North of the Peak District and were wizzing around somewhere, it was too early for him so I invited him to join us and gave him a card, a local chap from Derby, nice bloke. Ian, Rob and Lewis, Andy R in the Porsche and Bill swanning around in a BMW somewhere 20 and 21 inch wheels, this car was massive, it dwarfed ours Nope, no engine in there Ian I think there was a radio in here, that's what it looks like, certainly not engine-esque We all had a good look around this beautiful machine, what a stunner and what a lucky guy Andy is, thank you for showing it to us After drinks, breakfasts and catch ups it was time to motor. With the weather being so good we decided to do the Square Route of Buxton. Turn after turn after turn, wow wee There is a story, to cut a long one short @Trevturtle and Kirsty were meeting us on their cycles ( they were on hols locally in their motorhome) and they needed an onion, so I bought one along for them, only they didn't quite make it, don't ask. After a good run we finished at The Bull I Thorn It got messy here, see that lemon and blueberry cake at the back? well we wrote it off! it is no more It was busy, that's why we were scattered around the car park, so we got our own table going on, away from everyone else, not a bad little spot See, messy, this is our Cake-Meister Rob had an argument with his exhaust a couple of weeks ago, he lost, ouch A Citroen 2CV pulled up and I just have to show it to you With Trevor not coming we tried to cook the onion, it felt warm enough Andy's Porsche rear, 0-60 in 3.4 seconds, he kept up! Chris and Mo were to meet us for lunch, they called to say they were late, meaning they got the 'Magnet Award' as their headlight had fallen off. Rob proudly presented it to Chris now that his anti roll bar is secured. Never a dull moment. Chris and Mo made it in time for lunch and 'Yorkshire Salad' (chips) I bought the onion home, it's a sorry day when a girl comes home with her own onion. Hope the BBQ is tasty tonight without it. Thanks for coming everyone and see you next time xxxxx2 points

That appears to be the last time he visited the forums. Phil is still a member, so should still receive the PM’s and as long as set up, should receive notification of them.1 point

This was done the first time I had it happen to me and they were paint marked and checked regularly including before the big jaunt north. As Ian said I have now put new bolts in clean and fresh loctite will monitor how it goes I followed the same procedure on the other joints on rear axle and these are solid it’s only the right hand side hub side that comes undone.1 point

I have money on Trump winning again as the opposition is just playing into his hands. To us he is a nut job but as a president to those who voted for him he is delivering and the items he cannot is down to the Democrat party line to object to everything he does. He is a loose canon but his comment about the cause of the explosion has now been suggested by the president of Lebanon to have been one which was no accident, but at the moment no one knows. Trump was told by a number of generals it could not just blow up so in his mind instead of waiting he shot his mouth off. We have friends in the US and outside of the metropolitan bubbles he has support but it is a bit like with Brexit, anyone saying they supported it and him get abuse so they say nothing and will give their view in November. The police and military especially support him from their lobby groups. But a bit like Labour it appears the Dems do not want to win. Put up a weak opponent who has a lot of racist baggage, supporting segregation for example in the past, appearing a bit handsy with young girls. Then they have so many Dem areas supporting defunding the police. Then the gun issue which last figures I saw suggested that 67% of the public want to keep the right to own a gun, a similar number want more control on things like machine guns, but to go for the NRA and to even suggest that they want to restrict gun ownership, is not a vote winner. Throw in the large religious groups opposed to abortion and it is a mess. My gut feel is the Dems knew they stand a chance of losing, so no front runner will stand up until 4 years time when it will be two new candidates. If Biden wins then he will be replaced inside the first term on ill health which is why they still have not got the running mate settled yet. Get the wrong one and they are in front for four years time. But back to the main subject, "Spitting image" was so successful because they had great writers who did not take sides. They ridiculed Maggie, Tebbit as a thug, her cabinet as weak sheep but equally made Kinnock look an idiot as well as everyone being sprayed when Roy Hattersley spoke along with the Queen and the Queen mother being an old soak. If they change that into what Lyonspride suggest then it will fail.1 point
