hi guys, thanks for the comments. Been talking to Patrick over at Westfield. I sent him some pictures and descriptions as I brought the seats and harness's from Westfield, he stated he had never come across this problem before. However he is having some longer harnesses made for me (free of charge) he has also change the description on the website to state possible issues.

Hi all - just to introduce myself as a new member of WSCC. Recently purchased a Westfield SEIW with a Ford Zetec 1800 engine. It’s my second Westfield having previously owned a 2.0 Pinto 2003 to 2004 (short lived because as I didn’t have a garage, I used to keep it at work which was a 45 minute drive away) . A friend purchased one about 8 weeks ago and a trip out in his, convinced me to get another (especially as I now have a garage 😊) and we have had a few great drives out in both Westfields around Worcestershire & Shropshire in the last couple of weeks. The forum was a great resource prior to my purchase, and I look forward to getting involved. Cheers Terry

Ah, that's where the argument starts to break down, they are pretty tough, but won't take loads of abuse, and when "that" sort of repair is needed gets expensive fast. (Don't know where Apple care stands on those sort of issues, never used it). I suspect you'd definitely be receiving the stinkeye if you got her a Toughbook though!

Westfield owning days behind me ........ some excellent memories .... first Westfield on the road back in 1990 after 18 month build ..... loads of road driving, 3 trips to Le Mans .... then road and track ...... Speed Series from day one until around 2010 ... car now sold, no regrets ...... all boxes ticked 👍 ....... before you ask ... No I wouldn't buy another 😉 My latest favourite drive ........ is the one that takes me home 😁 Head into Wales ...... there are some great roads through central Wales ..... Ice Cream at Aberyswyth then back to the Midlands for dinner ...... enjoy your Westfield
