  6. I dont know. There's no real benefit to opening it up. The scoops just create a bit of lift and also fill the engine bay with rain etc. I do have some thin carbon veneer that I could maybe cut to make it look like its been opened up.

  7. Just back from checking the start of the route. Argghh - just three instructions in to the run and there is a road closure, so the first page needs re-writing. Please see the diagram below for the start at Cairn Lodge Services. If good weather (the long range forecast is suggesting it), then park at the top end of the carpark as per last year. If inclement weather, drive to the left around the back of the shops, to the area next to the coach park - we can shelter under the cairn for the brief. Fuel at Cairn Lodge is extortionate - you will pass a much-cheaper village service station on your right about 25 miles into the run.

  8. Thats been for sale with them for sometime and never sells Its a massive risk buying from copart yes you can get a good buy but you can also buy a shed and you have to be prepared for the worst case and normally these s2000 go for really strong money Buy something that you can hear and drive before you buy Also to buy that car because its a cat b you need to have a special breakers licence

  9. A brief gap in the rain for a bit of Saturday maintenance before a run out in the (hopefully!) sunshine tomorrow. One rear ARB drop link replaced (thanks @Westfield Parts Dept for the quick turnaround on the parts 👍) and spanner check the other side after the driver side did a runner 🤦.... and a quick top up of the diff oil due to my own paranoia/OCD 😂. The oil was nice and clear so not needing a full change quite yet.

  12. Aside from tinkering with the Westfield and driving @Lionel round in circles, I play Bluegrass Banjo badly. Got this yesterday and I’m very pleased with it. How about you?

  14. Erm No it doesn't. Not in its original form , most of the circuit was altered for safety sake , most or all of the airborne sections and some blind corners and bumpy bits were leveled off . The main straight was like a roller coaster ride , cars used to get airborne on the flat out straight until they sent the bulldozers in . The bend you show in the picture was notorious because the camber used to drop away half way round , not anymore , its been made nice and smooth and safe with an added pretty run off area . So There !

  16. I consider myself lucky that my holiday was cancelled by the travel agent and I got my money back (eventually). I wouldn't like to have been in the position of having to chose whether to risk travel or not, with the knowledge that insurance won’t cover a disinclination to travel. Truth is though, it’s a very first-world problem. And again, everyone is losing out here, operators, agents, customers. Historically I was always one for booking way in advance but now, I think it’ll be last minute and take what I can get. If I ever have another foreign holiday that is.

  17. Don’t forget @Yanto the Quaife price is with a donor box. So that’s a bit of a bargain. 👍

  18. @Steve (sdh2903) Striking colour, looking good. Are you opening up the bonnet scoop? - it perhaps looks a bit Ken-doll.

  19. Hi everyone, was looking for a Quad bike on eBay today and seems I came across this same guy which lead me here after some thorough researching. Advised me to send him ID etc and to pay a shipping company under the name cargo-express-solutions which also seems to be very sketchy/fake site. He sent me a passport under the name Thomas Jager and an address located in 40 Carrer Quatre, Barcelona, Spain. Thought I would post this here to help out anyone else who may be researching these details to see if he's legit or not. He is NOT.

  21. Unfortunately everyone is in a no-win situation. The Government is Dammed almost no matter what it does, it will get told it did it too late, too early or not enough. Some bl**** expert will come and tell them they were wrong. But I've also got sympathy for the people who have holidays booked up as so often they cannot cancel and get their money back, it looks OK to go, they are sick of it all and just want to get away for a while, so off they go only to find when there they have to go into quarantine when back. I'm in this situation with a trip to Italy in September, booked last year, so no money back options, as your still fine to travel there, but what if you get there and it all goes into meltdown. Ah well, Decisions, decisions, it can wait till closer to the time.

  27. Spotted this on copart. 75k rear end damage only. Got to be worth breaking and taking the engine for an mega s2000 build? I'd imagine you could buy, break, sell parts and come out the other side with a net free engine. https://www.copart.co.uk/lot/49389919 Now if only I had the time and space....

  31. I know - that surprised me. Apparently it’s only motorhomes and caravans as they have their own loos and showers? But we did see tents on the beach front at Applecross - maybe they were “day tents” - anyway sorry to divert the thread so here’s another pic (mine’s in there honest!)

  34. Hello everybody, I had a trail membership which expired a while ago,and have now decided to cough up the 30 dollars to become a member. I'm looking forward to many ride outs will local groups! I trained as a mechanic in late 70's early 80's so the westfield is just down my street. After many years on sports bikes, thought i would try something i've always fancied so here i am.🙂

  35. Apart from spinning my Wez on roundabouts I am a traveller, as opposed to a camper. I spent 3 months travelling Europe on my own trying to get my head straight in 2018. I'm off again soon, Holland and France for a shorter period this time, a month maybe. Also been folk singing since I was 12, play the bodhran badly, also a bit of ole time music hall and war songs, tried rock but left it too late! Photo, me on the pyrenees on the anniversary of Brian's death. Sensation seeker according to a shrink!
