  2. A brief gap in the rain for a bit of Saturday maintenance before a run out in the (hopefully!) sunshine tomorrow. One rear ARB drop link replaced (thanks @Westfield Parts Dept for the quick turnaround on the parts 👍) and spanner check the other side after the driver side did a runner 🤦.... and a quick top up of the diff oil due to my own paranoia/OCD 😂. The oil was nice and clear so not needing a full change quite yet.

  4. Unfortunately the National Kit Car Show at Stoneleigh is not going to happen this year. An alternative event is the Oulton Park Gold Cup on the bank holiday weekend. Possibly the best event at this circuit and the Wirral and North Wales area have a display stand for up to 20 cars. Come along and say hello, we have tea and chocolate cake.

  19. No need - just did 1000 miles around the Highlands with a lot of mixed weather. Also did 1500 miles or more around the alps a few years ago with 5 other aeroscreened cars. Just wear the right clothes and a helmet and forget the windscreen 👍 I personally know of two older cars with s2000 shoehorned in and @phil.mercboy still has his I believe. Not an easy job for sure but can be done.

  20. A couple of weeks ago over a (socially distanced) beer with a neighbour of ours he was moaning about the price of the servicing of his wife's Q3, turns out they had quoted 600 odd quid to replace 2 front wishbone bushes . Thats just the bushes in their housings, not complete arms. Anyhow after nearly choking on said beer I suggested he'd be insane to pay that. Bring it over and I'll change them and he could owe me a beer. In the end we decided to go for 2 full arms so all the bushes and ball joints all from lemforder for less than 220 quid. I recieved a box of beer as reward and was very happy at that. However they went one step further and bought me another gift which I thought very thoughtful and was well chuffed with, which is an achievement as my Mrs says im the worse person to buy gifts for.
