I'm a boring git, I prefer the non-stickered look.3 points

Yes I got a fair bit of seat time almost 2 full tanks of fuel. It didn't give up until around 3 o'clock ish. I made the tweaks after my first run. We were so spaced out on track it was hard to gauge how quick the car is. But it felt fast. Faster than my mazda turbo car. The 4 speed box seems to be geared quite long which felt good no need to keep changing up and down. Handled really well once I'd had a bit of a fiddle. I have a feeling the shocks are well past there best but they will to until the end of the year. The brakes felt good once I'd sorted the biasing so all in all I felt I learned a lot about the car.2 points

Some footage from the pintosaurus: First one is the four car train previously seen from @syman84's car. Second one is chasing after @Mole's car with Phil at the helm I believe, until I ran out of steam and the car was low on fuel.. ...and the third one is following @Michael Whitworth. The last run down the start finish straight was nearly my "bad track day" moment when due to the spray, I caught the edge of the track. Speeds were down but it would still be close to 100mph.2 points

Ratios would be either 3.6, 3.9, 4.1 or 4.3. the 4.3 was only used on the Mk1 1.6 diff Up to 1993 which is characterised by the larger rubber damper on the prop shaft flange. From 1994 the 1.8 used the larger 7” diff with a 4.1 ratio and then when the detuned 1.6 came out in 1995 this likewise used the same diff. The mk1 diffs had bolt on shafts Whereas from the Mk2 These were push in shafts. the 3.6 and 3.9 ratio were only used in the cars with 6-speed gearboxes and again used the 7” case with push in shafts.1 point

I've had a thought.. There were I think eight Westys at Cadwell. We all had different engines. Variety is the spice of life eh. 🙂 Even if we include the non Westy's, there's still no two the same. Me Pinto Simon Honda BEC Mike W 2.LVX Chris K 2.L Zetec blacktop? Ben 1.8 Zetec Silvertop? Martyn 2.L Duratec Andy S2000 (F20?) Jeff C Honda K20 Russ Mazda Mike (Fury) Yamaha R11 point

Yes I believe too much stiffness on your rear end can give you a nasty turn.1 point
-
I think the spin had more to do with the rear end being completely solid on the suspension. It was wound all the way up to max stiffness.1 point

Ha, unicorns don’t have pockets. New carpet sets don’t have pre cut holes for gear lever and handbrake, you have to diy.1 point

It was probably loose at Cadwell, and most likely caused your spin? .. just agree with me Ben. 😉1 point

i had a great day finally got out in my new car for some dry running. all was going well until somehow the castellated nut on the front came loose and destroyed the wheel bearing. but that will be in another thread. i had a great day and was very well run by Alan and his team with minimal stoppages. had a great few days with great company as always1 point
