  1. So today we managed to start my dads (don homer) westfield up. For the first time i got behind the wheel, started it up and drove it out onto the drive. We cleaned and polished it. Hope ive done my dad proud. Hopefully next weekend i can practice on one of the car parks.

  3. Yellow one with yellow odd bits and black wheels. Very similar to the factory current demonstrator which is soon to be replaced with a grey one. Factory demonstrator also has a few decals on it and if I do something like that, I will commission my arty daughter in law to design something.

  4. After 2 hours of toing and froing, ended up with a SEFW with 170bhp Throttle bodied zetec. LSD, wide track, uprated brakes, turbo seats and 4 point, and a heater. Delivery end of august..... Can't wait.

  8. Beautiful looking car, love the colours, old school look with chrome and headlights and even the enamel badge on the nose - I recently saw a post from Chris Smith describing it as the sun setting (in the West) over a ploughed field hence Westfield, the three colours on yours (and your Dad's) really makes this stand out.

  9. Good choice, all Westfield cars are Yellow, the others are just mistakes.

  10. I am at Blyton on Tuesday for a test day with some of the single seater British Sprint boys. Hopefully just use the day to get use to the car and make sure the secondary fuel tank works ready for cadwell on the 9th. Hope the weather turns back nice

  11. Surely we only want the donated brains of intellegent people?! Napalm the beach - sorted in one fly-by.

  12. Equip the police with aerosols of the virus including an indelible dye, they can then walk though these crowds of "invincibles" and spray them, anybody that presents themselves to the NHS with symptoms and a pink face doesn't get treatment

  13. As usual, this is all the fault of @Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO so be sure to blame him - thank you.

  14. The Sage (Mrs Nem....) is a ward manager at our local hospital. She was due to finish work at 3:30 this afternoon, she got home at a quarter to eight and she was a real sweaty mess, this is because last week the ward next door had an outbreak amongst the staff, first day of positive tests saw 6 struck down, the day after a further 3 reported, there's been a drill down into the cause and it suggests that the staff were using their staff room instead of the hospital canteen.... now one of the the staff infected happens to be a physiotherapist who works on multiple wards, he vectored the virus extremely efficiently and today the Sage had no choice but to work on because 4 of her staff have gone sick and requested tests. We thought we were going to be lucky and get our week away on the Norfolk Broads on the 4th of July, just another 3 days will see if the Nemesis household is deprived of that. (4 day typical incubation period) and if she has copped it I'll be crapping sticks, she developed late onset asthma 3 years ago ! The morons that think they are invincible will be the first to bleat that poor granny, poor grandpa, poor little asthmatic sister and any other sodding ailment shouldn't have died before their time, they need to realise that THIS IS THEIR TIME, this virus isn't sentient or self aware it's a bl**** virus ! Stay safe.... Nem...........

  17. That’s both very funny and very sad Don. That’s the sort of thing that made me a misanthrope. Other than specific individuals, I truly hate ‘people’. We are a bl**** blight and should have the good grace to just quietly go extinct.

  20. Thank you all for your help and advice. I gave that nice man Mr Westwood a deposit on Tuesday and so I guess i will start a build thread in September...... In the meantime, I need to collect together some of the tools I don't have but guess that if I search the forum I will find lots of suggestions and stuff for sale that has only been used once. BFN

  22. I could argue I've got 4 garages, one day I will tidy them, tomorrow maybe! I was hoping that this year there would be a sport 250 being built, now I'm hoping that will happen next year, all depends upon selling the green machine, or not.

  23. As a driver you are allowed to take an essential helper..so maybe you could be that for one of the Essex boys... Yesterday some cars did have two people in..which I thought was a no no!

  33. Hi Hayley, sorry to hear of your loss. It would truly make my day if one of my 2 daughters also carried on my passion for anything mechanical..... One has claimed the Westfield and the other has claimed my Land Rover Defender (so they believe??) when they are old enough to drive.
