Thank you for all your lovely messages and virtual cakes xxxx The nearest I got to eating the real thing was freshly baked scones. The current good husband treated me to a birthday lunch, sat on the floor of the now 'take away only' cafe at Hathersage Swimming Pool, living it up hey! All the seating has been removed for safety reasons. We had a wet walk in the soggy Peak District as Rita stayed tucked up in the dry garage. Just as soon as Boris lets us meet in groups of more than 6 perhaps we can all get together safely and socially distanced. Love and virtual hugs to you all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx😘6 points

So here’s how it goes .... So pet, this week we have in Wales... wouldn’t it be a really nice place to take the Westy with us on the trailer - I mean it would be ideal for nipping to the shops in and we can leave the dog at the holiday let while we go. Oh and by the way I might have to pop up to a place near Tarporley on the Wednesday to make sure the engine is ok. “Sounds fab” says Julie2 points

I think he probably means he'll need to persuade the owner of the R8 to let him loose on the tightest track in the UK 😆2 points

Paraffin works well, but you do need to expect a few leaks. I too have ITBs but my sausage filter doesn’t seem to filter out Bockwurst, should I switch to a German brand?2 points

Can I just say thank you to Don and Blatman for providing informative and interesting discussion, reading both your posts - any chance you guys can get yourselves new jobs at the BBC/ITV/Sky News etc offices .... you have both been more respectful and detailed in your debate than any of those "news" agencies. It may not be Westfields, but so what - Thank You Don & Blatman.1 point

Hello, I’ve never done a track day and only got a 1.6cvh SEW. Would it be worth me having a go at this or would I be a mobile chicane?1 point

When that happens i move back to a mix of cumberland sausages and chipolatas to stablish a working baseline, and then i slowly calibrate it to accept overseas food, but with some low quality meats you will still struggle. A good quality olive oil seems to help with the issue.1 point

If is still not allowed to stay overnight, i have massive space for trailers and two rooms @ barelly 20 minutes from the track. Im happy to host some fellow members. Whatever to actually help to get back to normal.1 point

What is happening in the States now is awful and sadly all this is doing is making a Trump victory more likely not less. There are 44 million black people living in the US just 13% of the population. Last year year there were just 9 black people who died at the hands of the police who were unarmed. There were allegedly more white people as one would expect with a larger % population. All deaths in these circumstances are regrettable but is it realistic to expect none given the state of the US where you have so many potentially armed? Clearly many blacks feel harrassed by the police which you can only really get if you are in their position I feel, no matter how many time the virtue signallers take a knee. The democrat big hitters fear Trump which is why they have put up Biden, who is expendable. If a big hitter went up against Trump and lost they would be finished, wait 4 years and they may well win. Biden is being made out to be an alternative, yet last night it was revealed that as a young politician he was active in supporting segregated schools and the bussing of black students which was just as divisive then as now. There are also the many examples of where he is a bit too handsy with females especially younger ones and the young lady Tara Reade who alleges he sexually assaulted her in 1993. The media will support Biden clearly which Trump will use to his advantage. So the hope of Trump being voted out is not the best one for change. Interesting if you have the time is to watch some of the Youtube videos by Brandon Tatum who is an ex police officer who is black. He cuts through some of the hyperbola that is going on and brings a clarity that is devoid from the media. They are lengthy but worth seeing things from a perspective devoid of political spin and hope to out Trump. Also worth a look is Ben Carson who again as the secretary of state for housing who is also black see things differently to others. No one should make light of the mood of the BLM movement and the support they have at the moment but truthfully this will die down when the next important thing to change your facebook page comes up as not that many stay on a bandwagon that long these days but hopefully some lasting change will come and we can all live together better, not that I have had any trouble living with my black neighbours or my staff who are black, there are good people of all race's1 point
