  1. Just a quick "well done" to the team pulling the magazine together. I found this issue had a slightly different feel in terms of content to previous editions. I really enjoyed the 5 or 6 articles describing what people were up to, improvements, modifications etc. More of that please in future....!

  2. Hi all Thought I would share my project I have been working on recently - it's a late 50's petrol pump which I sourced locally and know where it served its time The one on the right is mine - it was really rough but after some work it's coming back to life - it was way beyond a gentle restoration and has need some welding. Going to upload some photos to update you on the progress...

  3. They're bookmarks, and WSCC is over to the right hand side for very easy access. Stop deflecting from the issue in point here. Id ask you how to reverse my bookmarks, but you'd just hit something.....🤣

  4. I disagree. @Barnsley John has done a few mods for only a fiver each, if his wife is reading 😉

  6. I did enjoy reading about Alastair's@Aeruttle dash upgrades. Given me some ideas for post IVA upgradeitis when it's finally passed! 😁 Now halfway through Kevin's article on the puma engine install, I feel his pain having changed my original 1.4 cvh for a 1.8 blacktop and thinking "shouldn't take too long"... 😂

  7. Agreed, I'd previously assumed posting on here was sufficient, but clearly there are people who enjoy reading articles in print, so I endeavour to submit more in future.

  8. Jeeez I remember that - back in the day there used to be a little sprint/auto-test circuit set-up where you could rock up and drive your car against the clock, it was part of the Stoneleigh Show from mid/late 80's (ssssshhhhh don't tell the MSA) 😁. Saw a few cars hit the kerbs and limp out 🤕. All long before the risk assessment and H&S team stopped the fun. Russ Swift was a regular, used to turn up with a few mini's (proper ones) and do some demo shows on Avenue M - usually in front of the WSCC stand - Area was simply roped off and off he went, J-Turning and sliding around burning some hard pumped up rubber

  16. And how about the Lancs, Mancs, Yorkies and Geordies? It might be a long day, but it'll be a really good day! Bring your pens and clipboards and be prepared to be frisked at the border!

  17. My Westfield won’t be back on the road before then, regrettably, so I can either go as a service barge in my tintop or, @judder, I’d be happy to be your nav 🙂 My Westfield suffered a lot of damage last year when white van wummin ran into me. A lot of the repair work has been done, but the coronavirus lockdown has impacted on the planned work - some of the work was delayed by businesses being shut down, Westfield took ages to supply some parts, it has taken 6 months to get the replacement harnesses, and the company I’d asked to fit a set of new carpets has been busy making face masks. Getting there slowly, but it’s fairly clear that my car won’t be running till later in the year, or next year. Ah well ... Looking forward to this event though 😁 Cheers, Brian

  24. at this point everything is being flatted off ready for the paint that arrived yesterday - I had a go on a panel with spray tins (some 2k non iso product) but didnt find it any good for larger areas.

  26. Tech articles are great and one of the main problems is that clever members doing clever technical things can be shy about writing an article because they fear criticism - they shouldn’t be. No one is going to be critical and @PeterOz will do fix any spelling or grammar errors. Please folks, it’s your club and your magazine and it needs your contributions.
