Just rounded off a great weekend with a 60 miler this evening once the roads had quietened down. Must have been a good one as the windscreen was suitably smothered in dead insects.... Stopped just before turnaround to take some quick phone pics. Taken just before the descent and then run back up Zig Zag hill by the way! Happy blatting to all, Mart.6 points

Boy does that feel great. For me the big smile starts as I tootle down the drive, and turns into an ear-to-ear grin as I try to go slowly up the steep hill behind our house. Very cautious as these days the farmers are out early cutting grass. I let the car warm up as we dodge a few potholes on the road down to Honiton for the first shake-down checks and to refuel. It’s reluctant to start after filling the tank, something to investigate later. Shake-down part 2, twisty roads over to Beer, Seaton and back via Axminster. It is our wedding Anniversary today so perhaps we will be out in the car this evening to one of the local hills to enjoy the views, along with a chilled bottle of bubbles.4 points

Yes it is, I made it out of 5mm perspex and used rubber edging strip around the outside. I found some Velcro straps on Amazon which fit though slots cut into the perspex.1 point

Dawn shake-down drive for me tomorrow and the anticipation is delicious. Anyone else with one sleep to go before they’re back in their Westfield?1 point

I agree. Hes nuttier than squirrel **** but its amazing what he and his companies have achieved. Like so many pioneers I guess he'll be appreciated more in a hundred years time than in the present day which is a shame.1 point
