All the metal and wood parts of the tools have been painted, Nothing special there. Now onto a bit of weathering. To simulate chips and wear I have dabbed a light grey in places with a ripped off bit of sponge. You can also see where I have highlighted the tracks. With a darker grey, German grey in this case and with a tiny brush paint in some chips. I just need to go over the whole tank doing this........5 points

Apparently professional ladies are recommended to adopt covid safer positions such as reverse cowgirl or doggie according to BBC online. The people I feel most sorry for are professional pickpockets. Surely an almost impossible job with social distancing and without income declaration no furlough either. Please consider donating generously at thieving scumbag.com for those less fortunate than yourself.3 points

Next stage is to pin wash all the cracks and creases with a mix of 1 part paint of a darker shade to 15 parts white spirits. With a very small pointy brush you just dab the paint into the gaps and the capillary action does the rest. Once dry with a lighter shade you dry brush. Basically dip the brush in paint and then rub nearly all of it off on a paper towel leaving a trace amount. Drag the brush over the raised surfaces to highlight the detail and soften the edges. As per usual my photos are a bit pants but you get the idea.3 points

Alex, the owner of the Ferrari paid the price of a new fibreglass nose from the factory. I paid the difference to upgrade to a Carbon Mods carbon nosecone.2 points

If they've said they'd pay for repairs, get yourself a Carbon Nose, @stephenh pulled that trick after a Ferrari reversed into his car at Rockingham!2 points

Welcome Nicolas, the paperwork suggests that this was a former members car Paul Hammond (aka Hammy) it looks to have changed a big since he sold it.2 points

enter Q192hnr here, it shows this car is still registered in the UK, it is off the road but tested till 2021, all good so far. https://vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/VehicleFound?locale=en Test history is here https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/?_ga=2.146742580.147632322.1590789887-842490902.1590789887 looks like the speedometer was changed around 2010 so total mileage about 52000 miles. Only way to see how good , is to have a good look at the chassis, take a torch with you. Engine is same as Opel 2000cc twin cam 16valve. Power chart is correct at 164 bhp on Weberโs and no engine mods. Look for oil leaks but they can all be cured relatively easy. Drive it if possible and should go straight and brake straight. The good thing is, anything can be repaired and parts for engine, carbs, suspension, brakes, steering Are available. Good luck. Bernie2 points

We have a magazine here in the states called "Grassroots Motorsports" and they have a fun annual photo contest where readers can show off their garages. I'd just given my garage/shop a much needed cleaning and took a few photos and emailed them in. Much to my surprise I won and being featured in the magazine. Fun stuff. These photos were taken for that contest. I run my bespoke bicycle business out of my garage so there's more bike stuff than car stuff but my Westie was also built in here and it's where it rests between races and blats. Dave2 points

@Andy M Scott Manley did a good analysis (educated gueeswork!) on the Starship SN4 fail. He reckons it was a ground systems failure. weather looking more likely now, keep the boy awake!! Itโll be his Apollo 11 memory. Heโs lucky to be young now as I think heโll see more in the next 50 years than we have since Apollo.1 point

Just checked in on it and the weather seems 50/50 at best again. Can't decide whether to keep my boy up to watch it or not as it's about 30 mins after his bedtime and he'll probably be upset if it then doesn't go. Also, did you see this... SpaceX Starship SN4 prototype explosion yesterday. ๐ณ Don't think that'll buff out...1 point

Oh nooo! I'm so sorry to read this @Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup) the standard of driving during lock down is shocking. Clearly most have got too much on their minds other than driving carefully! I assume you saw him do it, at least that's a blessing. Were you able to drive home? I hope you're not off the road too long.1 point

Your obviously a gentleman Geoffrey ,Iโd have been up on an assault charge .๐ค1 point

Sorry to hear that Geoffrey what did he have to say? Hope the damage wasn't too great!1 point

What a numpty. Possible careless driving or criminal damage depending on cost of repairs. Gary1 point

My Jaguar XKR hasn't been out for many weeks, and could really do with a half hour run to "blow the cobwebs away". I've been having a bit of a funny turn with my eyesight recently. Can't make up my mind whether I'm ok to drive. Who thinks I might be able to kill two birds with one stone here? Seriously though, haven't the press got more serious things to worry about at the moment, regarding the fight against the virus?1 point
-
Hi Dom I would agree with that if the press acted in an impartial manner to the issue. I don't believe anyone considers the press handling of this matter is in any way balanced. If the press want to act responsibly how about they focus on the 300bn debt we have and what the plans are for recovery. Im many more times worried about that. Press have wasted 2 weeks and tied up vital resources on all fronts. Do i agree or support DC no. There are many many more imortant things going on and wasting even 1 minute of leaders time is not at this time a benefit. For the future if they wish yes. But now ? Honestly. While Rome burns. At least the general public are asking sensible questions.1 point

All the right bits with this one. Will be a lovely car when put back together. I would say that you could probably sell the engine alone for the whole asking price in the classic Ford circles Glws1 point
