  1. Clee Hill. Doesn't show well in the photo but clear view to Malverns, Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons and Radnor Hills. Good spin out. Gary

  2. My camoflaged car in the car park at work today, where even the cars are social distancing. What weather it has been for it, I have even travelled home without my hat on some days, trouble is all this hair gets in my way, it's never been so long since I have owned a Westfield.

  3. Surely it would be more logical to ask which heat setting they are currently on?

  4. We have a magazine here in the states called "Grassroots Motorsports" and they have a fun annual photo contest where readers can show off their garages. I'd just given my garage/shop a much needed cleaning and took a few photos and emailed them in. Much to my surprise I won and being featured in the magazine. Fun stuff. These photos were taken for that contest. I run my bespoke bicycle business out of my garage so there's more bike stuff than car stuff but my Westie was also built in here and it's where it rests between races and blats. Dave

  6. Answers are No and No. No gloves and no hat tonight either, I am going for the 'scarecrow' look on the hair 👩‍🦱. A day in thick jeans and steel toe cap boots does warm you up mind.

  16. Better without all the usual faffIng around With no noise test or sitting a crowded brief room, turn up and drive the circuit, ok for us old hands but novices will be nervous. No melting tyres on the day 👍 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dnb7C1H7i3w https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TwhNm6494JQ and purple Paul @MrPoseidon https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7_Akb3Q015U

  18. I've spotted a bit of criticism about parts from Westfield recently especially around price so thought I should balance the argument a little. Sunday morning I had a cycle wing bracket fail (long story) so needed to order a replacement. After a bit of tinterweb trawling I decided to order from Westfield that afternoon. Amazingly, the part will be delivered this morning, less than 48 hrs later! Yes I could have saved a couple of quid elsewhere, but what fantastic service! Well done Westfield, and thank you! I'll be back on the road by the weekend 👏👏👏 In contrast, the other items (Sikaflex etc) I ordered on Prime, won't be with me until Wednesday....

  20. It’s only some colours that are particularly affected, obviously yellow being one of them, (cadmium pigments typically be a family of yellow/orange/re shades). So obviously, other colours that use these as a component will be affected too. I believe some of the older, classic greens are an issue, for instance.

  21. We had to replace the nose cone on our yellow ZK bodied car last year. Westfield said that it was not possible to match the colour due to the changes in how gel coat is made up now. They had one built, after us giving them a piece of bodywork that had been removed when I fitted flared side panels and said that indoors it was a good colour match, but outside looked totally different. In the end we went for black, that worked very well. Also, the top section had a piece of core mat bonded in. According to Mark this was because due to the lead and cadmium being removed they had recieved complaints that the nose cones were too flimsy. So possibly, due to H&S, a good colour match is not possible now. I'de give the parts dept a call and ask them their opinion on how good a colour match they think that can achieve. Mike

  23. The eyesight thing (and yes Stephen I know you are parodying) is just idiotic (as I have said before). The eyesight test is in the highway code. Stand in front of or behind your car. Walk away 20 paces. Can you read the reg number? Yes = OK to drive. No = when did that happen? I need to get an actual eye test... This would be the same as a road-side test given by the police.

  24. This situation is daft on all sides. On pistonheads they are whipping themselves into a frenzy I've not seen before. I've read many views to try and get an understanding of the mindset of people and their views. Copied and pasted one comment ref alleged press misrepresentation. Maybe you agree maybe you don't All below is a quote and is not my view. My view is charge him and let courts decide. QUOTE If we are talking of consistent lies the media is well in the lead on this one Durham Police spoke to Cummings family and warned him about breaching lockdown LIE There was a second trip to Durham (widely reported on Sunday) LIE Self isolating on the family farm was a breach of the regulations LIE Most people have got caught up in this one and mainly on the basis of false media reporting. They don't want to lose face by admitting they were misled by the media so instead they fanatically continue to insist that a man be fired from his job for a 28 mile drive to take a short walk and sit by a stream.

  25. Hi Dom I would agree with that if the press acted in an impartial manner to the issue. I don't believe anyone considers the press handling of this matter is in any way balanced. If the press want to act responsibly how about they focus on the 300bn debt we have and what the plans are for recovery. Im many more times worried about that. Press have wasted 2 weeks and tied up vital resources on all fronts. Do i agree or support DC no. There are many many more imortant things going on and wasting even 1 minute of leaders time is not at this time a benefit. For the future if they wish yes. But now ? Honestly. While Rome burns. At least the general public are asking sensible questions.
