I feel very proud that Complete Kit Car magazine are doing a two issue feature on my car. Part 1 is in the June 2020 issue which will be on sale Friday 22nd May 2020. Currently with free delivery from their website. Part 2 was a photoshoot which was done today while socially distancing which is normal for me when you meet a stranger in a car park! ๐5 points

What Dr's note do we use with the Plod. PC plod asks..." where are you traveling to and why?".... Reply "Officer I'm travelling to take exercise/ sunbath at CastleCoombe /Blyton/ etc", The Officer asks, " Why are you towing a track car and trailer with you"... The only excuse I can think off is..... "Well officer I was doing some safety checks, and was practicing loading the car on the trailer a few days back. But I stumbled on an issue that after loading everything on the trailer and connected the tow car to trailer I realised I can't find my hitch keys so its locked on...... "2 points

It's alright, I'll send everyone CLeaR Motorsport stickers so you can be operating in a business capacity performing your advertising role ๐2 points

Well, I know that after a full day on track I do feel like Iโve had a workout and my muscles certainly feel it - so technically you are taking the equipment required to perform the exercise with you. Just like golf or angling equipment. Sorted!2 points

Hi all. I am a returning member after having been away for a long time (no, not banged up inside). Finally got around to moving my car to my own garage after it has been mothballed for years. It is a 1989 SEi Narrow body with Ford 1600 X-Flow on twin 40's that I bought from Terry Nightingale back in 1997. It isn't running as it won't start after being laid up for so long. Not had a chance to find out why yet, but I suspect it will be down to stale old fuel and will need draining, cleaning etc. No doubt I will be seeking advice and help as I find more and more issues with a 30 year old car. Anybody had any experience bringing one back to life after so long laid up? Thanks2 points

@Skypeller For what itโs worth, imo they look great! My mega S2000 runs 8J at rear and 7J at front. Fills arches nicely and tyres same 205โs all round. Love the colour too! So maybe worth thinking about getting just 2 off 7J for front only, swapping tyres onto those should be ok too. Andy1 point

Hahahaha love questioning people choices ๐ I like fat tires myself. Do you have pics of your car from front and 3/4 perspectives? Thanks ๐1 point

Great job Tim. Well deserved. Look forward to seeing the mag.1 point

No pics but just swapped over from laid up Insurance to normal cover - painless through A Plan this morning btw, and then took it off sorn....still smiling after two separate blats and 50 odd miles... Reason for post - was amazed at how much pressure the tyres had lost - glad I checked them before putting the hammer down! Mart.1 point

Hi All, Today the committee have agreed that the Blyton Sprint Weekend and Track Day will be cancelled this year. We have set ourselves a series of requirements and dependencies ranging from numbers of attendees, guidance from Government and MSUK and critically the safety and comfort of all who attend (medics, recovery, marshalls, visitors etc.). It's has been a sad but relatively easy decision to make and I trust you agree and understand why. The committee is keen to move forward with the Speed Series and as things develop the SSOT are constantly reviewing the number of events and any changes to the championship rules. Of course a number of us will have already booked and paid for the Sprint and @John Williams - Blyton Organiser will be along shortly with news on what you can do to arrange a refund. Thanks again for your continued support, understanding and patience.1 point

I've been browsing the parts site recently for the first time in years just ahead of putting down the deposit on my new kit yesterday (hooray!) and its definitely better than it was several years ago, so well done Jase. You might want to check the price of https://parts.westfield-sportscars.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=536&search=boot+lid&description=true though, I'm sure ยฃ1237.86 can't be right! Some of the items could still do with more photos to show more clearly what you are getting, such as the locking boot box linked above which doesn't show the base section.1 point

Slightly confusing to click on the instruments section, with a great AiM photo on, and find only a DASH2 plus analogue gauges, but still a work in progress... Layout looks better on the desktop monitors, not tried from iPad etc yet though, good work so far Jase!1 point

I did something similar, I found 220 face masks in my shed and a couple of boxes of gloves so I gave my local doctors practice a call to see if they could use them, turns out they were desperate for them, makes you feel good knowing you've helped with their protection. I just wish I could help my daughter, she's a doctor in Australia1 point
