  1. Well she has finally emerged from the garage, albeit onto the road outside and back - no runs out during lockdown 😩 Love the new wheel colour!

  5. Bought my First westfield back in February. Only managed to get out in it a few times before the lockdown but thought it was about time I joined the club. 2009 sport 2000 duratec powered in yellow/black Dean

  8. I must admit I must be really boring because lockdown hasn't made any difference to my life. In fact it's actually made it easier lol. Because my wife and son are home I don't have to pick him up from nursery. I only go to work and back. And food shopping

  9. After replacing several failed cheap alternators (always because they failed when I had no time to find a real alternative!) I finally have a decent one installed. Have a look at https://www.powerlite-units.com they were very helpful and the product is of good quality (although I do admit I have yet to give it a true multi-year test!)

  10. Calm down, Citizen. Everyone will be safe. Big Brother will be sending one of these out to every man, woman and child so you can carry on as normal. All is well.

  13. Hi Scott, I fitted this passenger foot rest https://www.ompracing.com/en_gb/car-kart-parts/pedalsets-footrests/oa-1866.html The pic on their website makes is look like a flat item. It should have a rear upstand. Here's mine fitted. You can decide how far fore or aft to fit it etc. I'll leave others to advise on a suitable Alternator for your engine and you stay safe!

  19. I am not organised enough to do a proper build thread, but will add photos to this thread bit by bit. This is what happens when you get to 60 - you look for something a bit different in retirement... Pics show independant front suspension (4 transverse leafs each side). The 'tub' is ash frame, skinned with steel (Fortunately this was done before I got it, as I would never have had the patience or skill) Bulkhead is marine ply - as original, self tap screws werent even invented then. The 4 wings are in a real state - badly repaired, and rusty - this will be a major challenge.

  20. Martin is right - its a 1938 BSA Scout (Yes they made 3 and 4 wheelers!) Quite a revolution in its day - its Front wheel drive, with cable brakes.... Dave - it might well have been clockwork, with a mighty 28BHP from its 1200cc sidevalve. It was sort of a poor mans MG in the day, but a project I am really getting into. Fortunately there is an excellent BSA club to give help, and source rare spares. Can post pics if anyone is interested on progress. Dave. The pic below is what I am aiming for.
