After a very frustrating wet winter, being furloughed allowed me to get started on the facelift on my Westie. Going for a full Martini livery. I am using vehicle wrap as I don't want this to be permanent. The FW poses a great many challenges with its curves and manipulating the substrate, especially on the rear. It doesn't help that NOTHING on these cars is symmetrical! lol I have designed and drawn on the files myself in Illustrator, currently working on a trick version of the Westfield Logo.

My normal barber couldn't fit me in before Christmas so I went somewhere else. When Caroline came home she asked if I was going to have it cut. Told her I'd just had it done. £10,and you couldn't tell. She's been doing it since.

Dunno, if I was stopped i'd ask the officer to try a) getting into it and/or b) try depressing the clutch and/or c) turn the wheels lock to lock whilst stationary.

My cynical son's reply: It occurred to me that the synthetic virus and selective cure part was straight out of a novel, but the exploitation of the West's financial parlous state was credible. Luckily, said son is married to an Australian girl of Chinese heritage and her mother speaks mainly Cantonese, but also some Mandarin and Vietnamese. The mother's English is flaky though. My daughter in law also speaks (but does not read/write) Cantonese so I may have a head start when our Chinese Overlords arrive. The downside is that they live in Sydney.

Dear god they move amongst us. That policeman did incredibly well and a credit to what is largely consensual policing in this country. He had obviously already left her there for some time as a compromise before returning and was suggesting common sense rather than being authoritarian. Yes we all know the powers police really have for this are minimal but does she really have to just be awkward when pretty clear what we are being asked to do

Easter egg cool storage facility,

I am not organised enough to do a proper build thread, but will add photos to this thread bit by bit. This is what happens when you get to 60 - you look for something a bit different in retirement... Pics show independant front suspension (4 transverse leafs each side). The 'tub' is ash frame, skinned with steel (Fortunately this was done before I got it, as I would never have had the patience or skill) Bulkhead is marine ply - as original, self tap screws werent even invented then. The 4 wings are in a real state - badly repaired, and rusty - this will be a major challenge.

Anyone posting about blats out.... Be responsible or this is going to last all year... We're already locked down till July... Even if this is just a week at home... No your wrong... No ones doing anything until every country is free of it... That's going to be a long stretch Be responsible and stop blattery please for everyones sake. It'll be over quicker

New level 2 upgrade...

Coming along... Finally got a heater working! Quite tricky for a hayabusa engine.. A steady 25° at the matrix outlet.. That'll do me.. Guessing it'll be a bit cooler at outlet by the time the air cools a bit... Unless I insulate the outlet hose a bit.. I think out loud at times. I have to make from scratch a matrix blower direction box out of ally and plastic. Should be fun... Bodywork nearly done. Needs a flat a polish yet. Cage is getting rubbed down for a repaint too. Waiting for some self adhesive seal to arrive in the post but everything is slower now so mustn't grumble..

Three hours of cleaning later, as I was bored.
