  3. An update from the Silverstone Classic regarding COVID-19 We wanted to get in touch to update you on the situation regarding coronavirus (COVID-19) and the Silverstone Classic. While the latest guidance from the UK Government is to stay at home over the coming weeks, we remain hopeful that the Silverstone Classic will go ahead in four months as planned, although COVID-19 may have some impact on how we run elements of the event. We appreciate that this is an evolving situation, so in the unlikely event that we have to postpone the event from its current scheduled dates, we will determine a date with the Circuit as soon as possible to which we can postpone the event and we will publish details as a matter of priority. All tickets would remain valid. In the meantime, we’ll continue to monitor the situation and follow the updates and advice given by the UK Government, the World Health Organisation and other public bodies. Wherever necessary we will be taking sensible precautions to help minimise the spread of the virus (our full team have been working from home since last week) and we will share updates in this regard over the coming weeks and months. Our FAQ’s are constantly updated here. Please look after yourselves and those around you at this challenging time. We’re all in this together. All the best, The Silverstone Classic Team

  9. If the body feels like its not keen on going back to its original shape at least if you do it with bolts you can bring it back up over a few days with shorter and shorter bolts.... and with the car in the sun warming the Fibreglass....

  14. Not sure if this is the best place for this, so I understand if admin want to move it... There's a big push for those with 3D printers to help supply face shields for the NHS. I've had an email from my Solidworks supplier supporting/encouraging this, so I'm printing these now, and thought others might like to follow the call: https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/25857/user-gcodes Content of my email: Calling all Solid Solutions customers! At Solid Print3D and Solid Solutions, we are working 24 hours a day to produce face masks for our NHS Health workers. However, we can only do so much with our machines. We are asking all Solid Solutions & Solid Print3D customers with access to an FDM 3D Printer to start printing the Prusa face shield in groups of 1 or 4. These are badly needed by health workers from hospitals to local support groups. You can download the design here under “Best Design”. We have also created a LinkedIn group to answer your questions and build the community which you can join here. Once you have 3D printed the face shield, please post to: FAO Neil Sewell Solid Solutions Building 500 Abbey Park Stareton Warwickshire CV8 2LY You do not need to worry about an elastic headband or the clear face shield as these will be assembled separately. Your headbands will also be sterilised before shipment. In summary, just get printing & posting and we will sort out everything else. Many thanks Neil

  20. Yea that left hander is very hard. The front understeers like crazy... Think the trick is to back off without brain in sufficient time and aim the centre of the car at the kerbs if possible. The right hander is a double apex braking on the 1st one aim again centre of car at 2nd. There's some awesome cars further on. I've just completed the la ferrari championships. Koeniggsegg one 1 car is good. Had to win that... Took a lot of effort to get it. F1's are cool with the drafting.. The down force is really obvious at monza round parabolica... Look at my time trial scores in the list view. Click on the orange button to the right and you can watch that person's lap to see their lines... Handy tool

  21. Yup... Drill out the rivets in the chassis then install M6 rivnut. Stainless cap head M6 bolts with large stainless penny washers... 👍 You might have to pull the tub out the way to drill chassis.. Few wooden wedges hold it while you drill

  23. Ok a couple of teasers, when I got home and some black bodywork..... obviously once I can get into the garage there will be some tunnel mouth mods to take the Mazda box, then replace some of the aluminium with carbon ordered some nice deep dish 13” rims too, they didn’t do them in gold so once they’re here and I can get out they’ll be off to get sorted lol that’s about it for now, but there are a few things in my head (and that’s a dangerous place) but they’ll wait until I get started proper

  24. I’m now in proper quarantine so can’t see me dialling in from my sick bed. But it’s a great idea if I had the energy I would quarantine from the garage with a beer sat in the car lol
