Hi Adge, I’ll go with the dinitrol recommendation, thanks. I do have some Gravitex left over from the mini restoration which I might use in the wheel aches, very messy to apply but good stuff. ive not gone for anything too exciting on the kit front, it’s my first go so I wanted to avoid as many pitfalls as possible, so sorry if this disappoints! Just FW Special Edition, 2l Zetec, with a few select upgades. The garage has fresh paint applied and is all ready to go, I did call Westfield but they said the chassis is not ready yet so looks like I will just have to wait for my collection date and hope the whole country has not been locked down🤞

As we are normally out and about most weekends, I thought it only polite to let people know the plan for the near future in the Peak District Area. Following the advice from the powers that be there will not be any runs out planned until further notice. Hard that it is for me to write this and I think for you to read this, it is important to put one's desires aside for the safety of everyone. Take care out there Glen and Julie xxxx

Is this the most profitable way to sell your car Blatman?

Best thing to do is get the body on, fit a wheel with a known offset and then measure from there on how much further in or out you want them, there’s nowt worse than a set of wheels lost in the arches. Especially as your using a mix of new and old donor parts. My car for example everything from the factory and the manuals points to an offset of 23 on a 7 inch wheel and yet I’m effectively running a 17 offset but the wheel could come out even more, probably to around a zero offset to fully fill the arch. Again though some of my parts are 20 years old and some are far more recent.

...but the wishbones might. They came in different lengths back in the day.

You dont actually need a fog light controller to pass the IVA with a kit car. As long as you have a tell tale light and the fog light ONLY works with dipped headlights,not side lights,it will pass IVA fine 👍

New Zealand and Fiji now gone done the pan, the wedding we are due to attend on Friday is going ahead with reduced numbers, the bride and groom have cancelled their honeymoon to Mexico, I can't imagine what's going on in her head at the moment ☹️ We are now looking at a road trip up to the Gold Coast after that no one knows, things are changing by the hour 😮 We have no idea if or when we will be able to get home. 🙄

I've just landed n Australia 3 hours ago and have to self isolate for 14 days 😮 Im due to attend a wedding on Friday, then fly to New Zealand on Monday 12 days later fly to Fiji. guess what has already gone down the pan? Yep NZ and Fiji 😟 Will I ever make it home to my Westy, who knows 🙄

Sale successfully concluded yesterday. The car is now in Cheshire and staying in the club.

Yeah just finished the first Chemo round and they've suspended the next - should have been next week. They're advising that the risks of keeping the immune system compromised and worse than the risks of stopping.
