  5. Now sold and left for its new home in Surrey. I hope you enjoy your new car and the drive home Mark thanks to everyone for your comments about the car (and the video Scott). I’m still planning to hang out on the forum so I’m not going anywhere just yet. Now to get on and finish those two build threads

  6. I've put a route together, basically meet in leeds at 9.30am to leave at 10 on Saturday morning, Fox and Grapes York Road (A64) LS15 4NJ Drive north through the dales, to include Buttertubs pass and calling at the Highest pub in uk for lunch (Tan Hill Inn). From here we carry on north west onto the Lakes passing through Pooley Bridge. Over night stay at the Castle Inn hotel in Bassenthwaite ( don't forget your swimming costume). Sunday we leave after Breakfast and head south over the 3 passes, Whinlatter, Honister then the Kirkstone pass. This will be more of a steady sightseeing route with stops for photos etc. Still heading south we enter Coniston, where we will stop for lunch at the Coniston Inn (Formerly the Waterhead Hotel0. After lunch carry on south, eventually crossing the M6 and heading home Via the A65 towards Skipton. Round about a 300 mile round trip. Please book your own hotel room. The Castle Inn, Bassenthwaite (Best Western 03330034087 or Via website) I can send out the route to anyone that wants it for their sat nav. Nearer the time i will email out the menus on request so i can forward on your choices for the lunch stops. This gathering will also be put up on the NWKCOG forum.

  9. You need to present for IVA with the smoked perspex piece not fitted, else it will be classed as a windscreen and they will require windscreen and a demister. I put rubber edging strip on the fibre glass part.

  11. Any colour GRP can be painted any colour, it’s all in the prep (and to a certain extent choice/quality of materials, when it comes down to longevity etc) Once any part is primed, they’re all primer coloured, after all!

  18. Extend the 2 reds and attach them into the supplies at the fuses A3 & A4 then you only need to redo the spade connectors at the fuse. that’s how my Westfield wired one was done

  22. Chin up Jude. Take the car out, that will help. Bit of wind in your hair. More importantly focus on seeing your grandson again, that will make the wait worth while. I’ve just got one and he is a joy. Now five months old.

  26. Absolutely, I have both intermittent sciatica and permanent damage at C4/5 with trapped nerves etc, so I know just how debilitating it can be, even without any sort of major or catastrophic injury. On the plus side, when it’s bad, my Westfield is often the least stressful vehicle to drive as far as my back/neck are concerned, so it can be done!

  27. Selling my very low mileage XTR2, the car has done approx 3200 miles, it’s a 2002 model from new. It is road registered and has a mot on it. The engine was fully serviced and checked over by Rob at mistral developments and no issues were found. The engine is the standard hayabusa lump. According to the literature these weigh in at 440kg making the power to weight ratio very high, with the added downforce which you don’t get with a standard car it makes this into a very rapid car. The previous owner had this car for 14 years and only done around 500 miles in it! reverse box has been removed at some point. They are a waste of time! i bought this car on a whim to use as a track day car, I did not sit in it before purchase which was my mistake! I am not the smallest of guys and my body doesn’t quite fit in the car comfortably, lots of leg room but not enough shoulder room for my mere 17st frame! condition wise is very good, would need about £500 spent on it to make perfect. I bought it to use as a road legal track day car which is what it’s best at! not many of these around now, especially road registered ones! trailer not included £18000.00 NOW £16000.00 for a quick sale, note the wheels will be changed for a different set. collection from Benfleet Essex Tel 07879 404747, if I don’t answer send a text and I will get back to you ASAP regards stuart
