Wasn't sure where this should go... Stuff? Yeah I guess so. Nonsense? Not a bit of it! Anyway, perhaps I'm a day late with this as Mental Health Awareness week was last week, but here goes I've recently (almost) finished building my car, and all along the way this has had me dancing along a psychological tightrope. Due to various factors I have a tendency to strive for perfection, and this can get me into a lot of self-inflicted trouble (and has done in the past!). In a recent post I decided to 'come out' and share a bit of my story, in the hope that it would help others to be more open about any sort of mental struggles they have had, or are currently dealing with: https://forum.wscc.co.uk/forum/topic/130867-the-lobster-88-se-rebuild/page/41/?tab=comments#comment-1422129 This can be anything from suicidal thoughts, right through to relatively-harmless-but-totally-draining overthinking (something I still do too much - mentally composing email replies at 3am while I'm lying awake, or practicing phone calls in advance!). If this describes you then you're not alone - even within this club - and I have always found the support that comes from all angles when I 'break cover' to be overwhelming, completely the opposite to my original fear of being seen as 'crazy', or being ridiculed, or even excluded. In fact it kinda makes you feel like you're in some sort of exclusive club when people pop up (both 'publicly' and privately) offering similar stories or support and understanding. It's extremely heartwarming. So, I guess the over-riding message is that it is perfectly normal to feel like cr@p sometimes, and that it's absolutely OK when that happens. There is support available all around if you allow it to come into your life. I will personally offer myself as one of these support mechanisms if I'm able to at the time, I'm only a PM away Feel free to share any stories here, you won't be judged and as I said, we'll be part of a (relatively) exclusive club, haha. And don't forget that whatever happens, there's always a fun and engaging toy with a shouty engine sat in / on your garage / shed / drive to allow you to clear your head at the end of a bad day Take care everyone, x1 point

This fits inside a single garage with room to spare. I bought this last year with a view to doing some track days but it never really happened. My tow car is now sold so this is going as well. I put two new tyres on which have done less than 200 miles. I replaced all the lights as well. Bed length is 320cm Bed width is 164cm Max load weight 1000kg £11001 point

They are not the same as the items in you photo, but as I said, might fit the bill 🤣1 point

I think I have some alloy items that I used at IVA. May fit the bill. But won’t be able to access my garage for a couple of days to check1 point

That's exactly the bar I have got, I bought it secondhand and was advertised as a RAC bar. Fitted my FW circa 2010 with no alterations and the cross bar misses my small fuel tank by 80mm, not got a clue about tube strength, though it does look decently made. Additionally IVA commented on fuel tank protection. Biggest drawback is that fitting boot box would be a complete waste of time but no big deal as store other essentials round the bar.1 point

Don't know if it's a trick of the light but the one in your picture looks to me more like one of the later ones where the sides go out at an angle from the mounting plate before going up. Mine was vertical straight out the plate. The early one like mine, and the later ones were all good quality with properly specced tube and well made by BMS. Mine fitted my wide bodied live axle car very well but I did have to make up a pair of 6mm aluminium plates to sit under the forward mounting plates to raise the bar so the rear mounts would line up. Might be a consideration on your installation but of course wouldn't work if the misalignment was the other way round. Regards Howard1 point

Just a quick snack. Had more tonight but didn’t think you’d want to see the size of the cheesecake with raspberry purée 😀 Defo more tomorrow. @Andy Westwood the whole cake was divided between us so all equal sizes and no one got a ‘bigger than anyone else Andy Westwood bit’1 point

Good to meet up again David. We had a fair day, slightly marred by the poor old Pinto's incontinence problem! It's looking like a head gasket is required. We left not long after you, and received a text from Richard, (orange Striker) he was black flagged for noise at about 4-30! .. needless to say he wasn't that dissapointed. Here's a vid, last run for me, including the spin at the end... thank god it went there and not in the 100mph left hander eh! Pete will get another of his slightly quicker sessions up tonight probably, and some shaky footage of the drive by's off the pit roof. (Rich's Striker sounds awwwwsome! ) ..and some pics:1 point
