  1. @DamperMan - supplying info on used items to help club members (both selling and buying) at the cost of potential lost sales.... Brilliant mate and a credit to the Club IMHO..... Mart.

  2. I wrote back: " Hi Carl, Sorry to hear of your recent bereavement. Thanks for the e-mail below. I know Dingwall, It’s just above Inverness. As you’re in Germany, who do I need to speak with to view the car ? Do you have family or a friend I can facetime and have a virtual look at the car before I drive up to see it. I’m in stoke on trent, so it’s a fair way to go etc. You’ve not said how I can pay a deposit, as I don’t want to lose this opportunity to get the car. It’s just the car for me and the price is great too! I’ve looked at quite a few and they’ve not been as described etc. Please advise.

  4. Everytime I park mine up, I strip it down to its bare components, engine out, gear box off, rear clip completely removable, sides off, nosecone off, remove all 4 wheels, take the steering wheel off (not quick release so that will slow them down further), unbolt the seats, take the ECU out, remove the diff and propshaft, take the headlights off, unbolt the aeroscreen, take out the gauges and carefully remove the dashboard, unbolt the roll cage, unclip the harnesses, take the bonnet with me obviously, take the steering column and rack off and finally remove the fuel tank. You can't be too careful round here.

  5. That being a Faulkner spring code 8 B 350 8” long, 350 lbs/inch. B I think was a cost code and does not directly relate to its inner diameter.

  10. Now what is going to be fun is when it's pulled from eBay you can ask him why it's gone. Of course 2 or 3 months to sort Probate out is total rubbish as anyone who has done it will tell you, you are very luck to get it done that quickly. Looking forward to the "give me the address and I'll go and see it, I only live 10 minutes away, how lucky is that"

  11. For fun, I wrote to the e-mail in the picture with the add. Here's his reply: Thank you for your interest. Sorry for the late reply. The Westfield is still for sale and available for viewing in Dingwall, Highlands Scotland. In very good looking and working condition. It belonged to my brother who unfortunately passed away a few months ago. All UK paperwork available and in my name, HPI clear. I reside in Germany due to work commitments. The reason I am selling is that it costs too much to change the registration from UK to German papers as well as the delivery fees to Germany which are considerably high. My last asking price is £3800 including delivery to any UK mainland address. Where abouts are you based? I look forward to your reply. 12. Driven one... A proper rocketship. I drove one of these back to back against an Evora. The turbocharged BMW engine has so much torque and even if it’s not the quickest car I’ve driven it certainly felt like it... It is both modern yet has the Morgan feel. There are cheaper Morgan’s if the speed six is a little too pricey

  13. Just watched a short video of RH picking up his new Morgan from the factory. I was quite impressed by the performance figures he quoted, it also sounds quite nice. Then I googled the price......The Plus Six range starts at £78,000 (STARTS AT) Jesus Wept.....

  14. I used these for my doors. My doors are basically the same as the full doors but the bottom half only. I have two at the front and two on the bottom edge. The two at the front allow me to just unclip the other bottom two and the door opens like a proper door.

  15. If you look on youtube there are videos of how you install the studs. Is it one of these.

  16. With tomorrow's forecast being dry and 8 degrees I think winter is proving to be very favourable for travel in a Westfield, it's even getting lighter later, so hurry up with those winter upgrades. The road with the picturesque viaduct on does not re-open until next Friday, so we will have to wait a while longer for that pleasure. In the meantime here we go, see you in the morning 👍

  21. A couple of years ago my wife bought me a Morgan factory visit for my Birthday. It is a really great day out as seeing the technology and the traditional craftsmanship that goes into them was really interesting. Not expensive and well worth it
