  2. I came to the same realisation and said to one of the pilots, you have a Westfield but with Wings, his reply... You have a plane but without wings. Same passion, same madness.

  3. Here's the car ready to be finished. Not so much to do now after last weekend. Really enjoying the build so far and can’t wait to get through the IVA and on the road for the summer.

  4. Hi everyone, been hanging around the site for a year or so looking and reading up on Westfield’s. Not a mechanic in any way but have basic knowledge ( pre cursor to loads of (stupid ) newbie questions) but had itch for one that needed scratching. North Preston so will be attending local meets and runs out. Only looked at two cars and I know people say look at loads but once I saw this one I knew it was the one. First time in one today loved the short trip can’t wait to get it un-sorn taxed and on the road. Hope to meet and catch up with you guys soon, and to look after and keep it as pristine as it previous owner Jim Cunliffe of this forum. Thanks Jim. Obligatory picture in new home

  15. The A Plan PM box is full; @A-Plan Insurance THATCHAM Carlie, you need to delete the older/finished with messages, to free up some space, in the mean time, though I've just increased the sponsors PM storage allowance, so it should work again. @Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO admins/moderators can always PM members, even when the mail box is full, it's part of the admin requirements. That's how your message got through, and why the mail box was at 102%

  16. Ah. I have staff to make my coffee usually. Sorry Chris, I figured you’d be out secretly practicing.

  17. Hi Steve, I've sent a test PM to Carlie and it sent okay. She's confirmed safe receipt. So all systems, go!

  19. Hi, I'm almost 6ft 5 with size 11/12 feet (and I'm not what you'd call skinny 🙄) and fit in my SEIW with a standard floor and padded seats. I did modify my drivers seat a little to allow it to move another 1cm further back as I was banging my right knee. Mine came fitted with a 280mm steering wheel which definitely helps. I do have GRP seats on my upgrade list, will probably remove the screen (and go aeroscreen) and I'm about to upgrade to a quick release steering wheel. I wouldn't say it's overly comfortable but I'm not crippled after one of Julie's peak district runs where I'm in the car for 4 or 5 hours. I didn't buy it expecting comfort to be honest... I can't heel and toe even with OMP race boots on but it's fine to drive normally. If you're worried about roll over safety, lowered floors and/or the MSA bar is better than the RAC I have... I'm sure I'd be eating tarmac if the worst happened 😳 It'll fit in a single garage fine (mine does easily). For peace of mind, IIRC the width is about 1.6m and the length is just under 3.4m. Picture of me in it on New Years Day (one of Julie's great photos). If I'm honest I wanted one so badly I'd have resorted to a big tub of Vaseline and a giant shoehorn if I hadn't fitted 😂😂

  20. Happy New Year to all WSCC members. Time to remind members of M.O.T.C.O.'s Law of Universal Incompetence:

  21. EH are well known for being a bunch of "see you next tuesdays", it's the management, they treat the staff like poo, don't give them enough time to complete their jobs, blame them when stuff either goes wrong or isn't done quickly enough, sack them one way or another (because apparently sacking people encourages others to work harder) get new staff and the problems continue, rinse/repeat and decades later nothing has changed. To be fair though, it's pretty much the same with most car dealerships. I simply have some inside knowledge that may or may not be from a Stourbridge EH employee, past or present. It angers me really, because managers should be held to account for their failures and not be allowed to pass the buck onto people who are just trying to earn a living.
