  1. Quick hello too everyone, Jon wrong side of 50, just paid my dues and joined the WSCC community. I am based near Skegness, looking at the area maps north east Lincolnshire looks like a bit of a black hole for members, any members close by? Heres my car the “tango flash” wasn’t driver error honestly 😏

  3. Is this Jennifer's ear all over again I wonder. If the boy had been unwell for six days wouldn't a GP been the best choice? If the GP thought it prudent then the boy would have been blue-lighted to hospital and admitted immediately. A GP will always see a sick child as a matter of urgency. If a bed had been allocated immediately on arrival then removed for a priority patient them I infer that Jack was deemed to be able to sit on a chair to await further assessment. Why was his mother not cuddling him - if he were mine I would have done so to comfort the lad? It's very hard to believe that any medical professional would have thrown coats on the floor and put the patient on them. This isn't North Korea! Boris's reaction was lamentable, certainly, but he was ambushed somewhat and he isn't very good under those conditions. All in all, a bad situation for all concerned.

  4. To introduce myself over the years I’ve dabbled in motorsport, bit of circuit racing, spent far too many misspent years on the ovals, built a locost in 2000 which I owned for 17 years, started with a pinto, 893 blade, standard busa then supercharged sold in 2017 when I acquired tango. I ran the last 3 years in the Javelin sprint but the shake up doesn't make it kit friendly anymore so thought I would come to play with you guys. Anyhow it says you like photos, here’s one from 2018, never ever touched a cone on a sprint, honest 😏 many more pics if you want em.

  6. Popped down to Oulton Park yesterday with @Meatibald Archpants and Lionel for a bit of lappage. Yes, that thing in the middle was my track car for the day. Behold the MicLaren. Or Ladybird. I've still not decided for certain: Yes, that is a Nissan Micra. It's completely standard. And yes, it is the 1.0L, with an astonishing 59bhp, ish. I paid £250 for it and yes, I had only driven it a few miles on the road before I decided to venture to Oulton for a track day. It'll be fine, they said, it's Japanese. And it was! Sea sickness pills mandatory, because this is the 'S' model which 'benefits' from no anti roll bars whatsoever. A buttload of toe out up front and 70psi in the rear tyres took car of handling duties. Until, for some reason, the left rear lost all pressure mid-corner at Shell hairpin. Weird. Still, I managed to limp back and luckily had a spare! 108 miles completed on track, no mechanical issues then drove it home afterwards - brilliant!

  7. I wouldn't call our pension funds "venture capitalists", and they are the biggest investors in most of the privatised industries, that it except those which are now owned by over seas corporations!

  8. Might that be because onw a shocking number "journalists" no longer leave their desk? The old school journos are getting few and far between, the rest now do phone interviews and copy eachothers stories from the internet.

  12. And in these times where you can’t trust anything you see, personally, I’d want to find out if an image so loaded as that one was genuine before commenting on it. Imagine the milage any opposition (to anyone) would make had the challenged politician (of any party) made comment on a faked image. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. Not that I’m thrilled with any of them, not one I really want in charge, more a case of picking the least worst.

  13. Evening and welcome. I’m in Horsington just north of Woodhall. I use my Westy all year and try to join in with the Peak District trips out as they are a really great bunch and the roads are good. We generally eat our way around the Peaks. Keep an eye out on the advertised trips and we could always go in convoy to the start point. Normally takes a couple of hours from here to the meeting point but this part of the drive can also be fun. Andrew
