  1. Well that was good wasn’t it. Thank you all for coming. It is appreciated that the miles were covered but there was a great mix of friends and conversation flowed. We are all winners as we have little great cars called Westfields but on the night we must congratulate - @Trevturtle and Kirsty for winning the ‘Silly Xmas Quiz’ Mo and Becky for winning the prizes in the pass the parcel. @aeg for managing to fit all 7 chocolate mints in one mouthful in a tribute to the wide mouth frog. Obviously Tangoman attended but he was getting a bit saucy Thanks must go to @Ian Hart for the very special hand made gifts Thanks again to everybody. Role on Christmas and then next years driving.

  2. Well done Simon A few years ago I started to do the Tel's Tales articles which eventually developed into the magazine articles as well as my Blogs on this website covering the speed series When I suggested doing this Bob Green was a keen photographer following our speed series the paddock and offered to provide photos for the articles. Alas after about 6 months Bob died from cancer and his family donated the award and presented it at a our Awards do.

  3. Thanks for great evening, we both had a enjoyable time. Party games, the most varied conversation I've heard in a while... Free whilly, to Bob's banana then an intellectual discussion on black and white movies ... all inside 30 minutes. Ian, many thanks for the surprise present. I think we will all cherish those. Good to meet everyone, and it was good to see Tangoman joining us. Thank you to @AndrewBClarke for organising. Merry Christmas 🎅 The mischievous Mr tangoman spent most of the evening playing with the cracker presents creating film themes.

  7. I'm equally impressed with my first 106 miles on my PS3's. Started out at circa 9:00am today at around zero degrees and it's wasn't any higher than 4-5 degrees today. No drama, squealing or spinning off the road backwards. Yes in 1st and 2nd you can easily light them up (Even with the tiny torque of the S2000). Ride quality is good. No understeer and they've coped with dirty, slimy roads today. I've not had a suitable quiet roundabout to push on until they break free(3rd is good for this), but will try at some point and report back.

  13. Where’s the photo of the ‘electric blue mini dress clad lady’?

  14. Well that was different. Due to lack of people daft enough to bring their Westfield out today (I would have if you would!) we still decided to carry on regardless, only in our other cars. Scrapping Ashbourne and instead meeting @BillyPee and Bill senior at Sparrowpit we went to the Yonderman for tea and mince pies to start the day. Soft tops rule today. We detoured to take a route through Chatsworth Park and found some sunshine Oooh, it's so hot in here, doors, a sun visor even, what luxury as we passed Edensor church Chatsworth, but that isn't the house! Edensor Church Catching up my original intended route along the country lanes we were getting onto higher ground And we found the fog that did not lift up here, even after lunch We had lunch at the Red Lion, Stannage where Bill junior got 'chip envy' as Glen had fish and chips with mushy peas and curry sauce, while Bills steak ciabatta came with only vegetable crisps and salad - a bit of a healthy option that one. All was made better when Julie stopped mid sentence - wow - as the electric blue mini dress clad lady walked into the bar area, mental note, get the boys to face the bar next time we go here. Parked at the Red Lion Peak Edge In order to balance Bill's diet and to stretch the legs of that lovely straight six Porsche engine we set off up the mighty Slack Hill to bring us to the Fountain at Bonsall for cake. The lemon and blueberry cake was nice, as was the Victoria sandwich cake, but on being told that the banana and hazelnut cake had just come out of the oven Bill took no time in deciding that was the one for him. I still think he is turning into a bit of a health freak though, bananas and nuts are both vegan and healthy. I will have to reconsider your future membership to the Peak District if this kind of behaviour carries on 😀 With a serious lack of suffering today with our wonderfully comfortable cars, lets hope next Saturday is slightly better weather and we will see you all at GBS for totally unhealthy German sausages. Thank you to Bill and Bill for coming out with us today, albeit in the wrong cars, it was still good fun working out the quirks of our strange little cars.

  15. I know it’s early 😁 but put February 9th in your diaries 1pm at the Glover Arms, Perth for a lunch , get together and pre season planning session. If you have any ideas jot them down and bring them along. Things already on the table are Strathfillan wigwams, mystery navigation run , Bo’ness and knockhill to support the wscc speed series remember we need your input to help organise the things to do

  16. November 16th, 2019 Spend: £10.00 Winter upgrade time! After cleaning the car last weekend, today I finally made a start with replacing the damaged nose cone. Part of the hesitation to do it 'in season' was that I wanted to go from 2 bolts holding the nose cone down, to 2 dzus sliding fasteners. I had @Ben (bunje) create two M8 to M4 reducers which would allow me to re-use my rivnutted M8 mounts on the chassis. But once they've been screwed in, there would be no unscrewing. But I shouldn't have feared the job, it turned out to be quite simple! Now I just need to fit a new stripe and grille November 23th, 2019 Spend: £13.99 It took some effort to get the stripe on neatly (I'm not a sign writer!), but it does look tidy, even up close November 30th, 2019 Spend: £10.00 I bought a nice badge from @marcusb again, but it has no fixings on it. I didn't want to drill screw holes in it, so I got some JB Weld SteelStik and improvised. And then I 3D printed some fixings that will hold it into the grille I bought from @Steve (sdh2903). Last month: £ 9402.26 This month: £ 33.99 ----------+ Total: £ 9436.25

  28. Yep. Bob Green was a WSCC member who had a green Cosworth powered car for many years and in his latter days he started photographing speed series events. A real nice guy and he visited the Derby and Notts area meeting literally weeks before he sadly passed away.
