  2. Most of us have no problem with a fairer Britain in a fairer world. But Corbyn and his key team hold Marxist beliefs which they will force onto the population of this country if they get into power. Have you seen their policies on Re-Nationalising some industries and other policies which effectively make them unelectable. Having worked in the late 70's when we last had 3 day weeks, 15% mortgage rates, massive unrest and failing industries due to a whole raft of reasons but also wildcat strikes. The UK really was the basket case of Europe economically and in so many other ways. There are still a lot of people who remember these days and never want to see them repeated and they will never vote for Corbyn.

  3. I have a nagging suspicion that what Corbyn says from outside No.10, is diametrically opposite to what he (and his cronies) would do once inside No.10. Cynic? Moi? Mais oui!

  5. Yeah I ended up staying out for at least half an hour towards the end of the day. Then got black flagged, again, for 'drifting', again 🤔 I have heard of clutches doing that in the past but no specific experience myself, hopefully someone can chime in Here's a vid of one scruffy lap, trying out Nankang AR1s. Despite not many cars booked on I didn't get many clear laps at all, this was one of hte only ones! I'll put some more blurb in my build thread when I update it.

  7. None! I have a feeling they ask the 'tog not to put those up, otherwise it might encourage sliding about...

  8. Do you think May had bargaining power? As we have seen the EU don't bargain or negotiate. They have a list of demands which are seemingly set in stone. Boris sees this. Or at least, I like to think Boris sees this. His reaction is the same. These are our demands. It brings a stalemate which CAN be broken. It just takes some balls. I am hoping Boris has them.

  10. Someone needs to address parliament and repeat or update Oliver Cromwell's speech for the Dissolution of the Long Parliament, given to the House of Commons, 20 April 1653 "It is high time for me to put an end to your sitting in this place, which you have dishonored by your contempt of all virtue, and defiled by your practice of every vice; ye are a factious crew, and enemies to all good government; ye are a pack of mercenary wretches, and would like Esau sell your country for a mess of pottage, and like Judas betray your God for a few pieces of money. Is there a single virtue now remaining amongst you? Is there one vice you do not possess? Ye have no more religion than my horse; gold is your God; which of you have not barter’d your conscience for bribes? Is there a man amongst you that has the least care for the good of the Commonwealth? Ye sordid prostitutes have you not defil’d this sacred place, and turn’d the Lord’s temple into a den of thieves, by your immoral principles and wicked practices? Ye are grown intolerably odious to the whole nation; you were deputed here by the people to get grievances redress’d, are yourselves gone! So! Take away that shining bauble there, and lock up the doors. In the name of God, go!”

  11. Sorry not too exciting. I'd amassed enough points to just need to make the two race starts to take the championship. Pretty risk free driving in the conditions

  12. Me to, I can't believe how low Parliament has sunk, they are living in the sewers right now. As Geoffrey Cox said yesterday this is a Dead Parliament. They can talk all they want but nothing is going to change or happen, total waste of time them being their. We urgently need a general election to give a party a majority so that the country can move forward in whatever direction the voters want. This no-mans land is very damaging.

  14. Damp track in some areas until just before dinner, plenty of red flags😏 The longest delay was a V8 Westfield depositing a full tank of fuel around half the track on the third session of sighting laps, then running out before it got back to pits First time I've used my car on track with the V6 in it,and struggled on the damp track, would wheelspin at random damp parts doing 70-80mph. Swapped my wheels over to my 13's at dinner time as there was a dry line all the way around the track, felt much better then my clutch started slipping not long after,so didn't see out the afternoon😡

  15. Parliament are doing their best to go against the will of the people and that is outrageous. I may go against the will of parliament and stop paying tax. I'm sure the supreme court would back me if I could figure out a way to make the case using recent precedents... As mentioned, unlawful is a far cry from illegal which is a nuance I missed yesterday. Those in opposition to HM Government and Brexit will shout long and hard for Boris to resign or for a vote of no confidence to force a general election. Corbyn has again stated that he won't vote for a GE until no deal is off the table and it isn't. Mori polling suggests Corbyn has the lowest approval of any Labour leader since records began (in 1977...) so he escapes comparison with Foot and Wilson but whichever way you shake it, it's bad. BUT there haven't been any polls since the verdict so that's the next benchmark we need to look at. If Labour still trail the Tories significantly (as they do now) then Boris can call for a GE knowing that Corbyn has little chance of a win and will likely surrender, and a GE loss for Corbyn would be the end of him with the party descending in to even more chaos. I'll bet we'd see the rise of a new "New Labour" from the ashes... And in all this, NO-ONE is mentioning the Lib-Dems... I do believe that Labour with Corbyn are un-electable. And yesterdays announcement about drug patents is so badly thought out that I genuinely fear for the supply of essential meds if he makes this happen. Corbyn would be dangerous as a PM. And Boris yet again goaded the opposition by challenging them to call a GE. Corbyn surrendered... again... And what exactly is Labours Brexit policy? I heard several commentators on the radio after his speech and whilst I am more informed, the information is confusing and not helpful in any way. At least Boris has a clear policy. We leave, and with any luck we leave on Oct 31. And it's nowhere near 23:59 yet. There are 5 weeks to go. Do I believe Brexit will happen? Yes. And I have 17.5 million other people with the same ambition and with a referendum win in our pockets as hard evidence. And that's the bottom line.

  17. Long time since I did any modelling, but spent a couple of hours in the loft today. Carried on with a Lotus 72 I started over 6 years ago. Got quite a lot of the decals on.
