I'm not sure this is of interest to anyone, but the 4.5" diamond grinder disk worked a treat, coupled with the belt sander for the edges and a diamond wheel to enlarge the cracks I am now ready to start with epoxy crack filler then onto primer. I'm pleased with the finish and the small diamond grinding disk worked worked really well, once I modified the dust extractor with a duct tape skirt so I could modulate the pressue more easily. The only real issue today was the time consuming constant vacuum maintenancr for dust extraction. 10 bags needed in the end. Obviously not a pro solution but happy with the end result for the prep work.3 points

If you have the app and in an emergency situation, in the middle of nowhere, then I doubt you would be worried about sharing info or possibly getting a word wrong - it could be your only hope? Example I saw was a horse rider badly hurt in the middle of the new forest - worked a treat. Mart.2 points

Meet at Curborough Sprint Course, Lichfield, WS13 8EJ ,10.30/11am for a wander into the paddocks to see some of the Speed Series folks and watch them on track. Afterwards we can pop up into the Peak District, perhaps to Wetton for some lunch if anyone fancies it. Hope to see some of you there xxx1 point

Too complicated for the average person. I've used W3W a few times in the past and it's brilliant. Imagine if mail order companies just needed to write 3 words on a parcel to get it there? Brilliant!1 point

Yes, a great day out, it was my first trip to the factory despite owning one of my car for 15 years. Must say I too was very impressed with the hospitality and enthusiasm of the team down there at the factory. That really must have been some shower we missed around Oulton Park, looking at the flooding I think our cars would have been full to the brim 😀1 point

Yep - I believe you can now post something to some nations just by addressing it with the three words of the square with the post box it needs to go to and the country it’s going, and it will get there. Pretty cool.1 point

E scooters would end up like the rental bikes in Oxford all chucked in the River Thames I think. We now use E bikes to commute to work with a combined mileage of 300 miles a week, and were told charging costs of 10p a day. The pay back is two years as the bikes are about 3k each. If we drive it takes 40 minutes if we cycle it takes 65 minutes. I was worried about the 15.5mph limit but the reality is slightly different, at 15.5 mph the assistance starts to reduce and disappears at 16.5 mph so on the flat we tend to ride at 16.4 mph. If I use my road bike ( what I would call a racer in the old days) the journey takes the same amount of time 65 minutes but I will need to shower at work due to effort. Where a E bike are faster is hills, head winds and acceleration. Yes they limit should be increased to 20mph as they are frustrating zooming up to the speed limiter with ease but I assume getting that extra 3 mph would mean charging both end of the journey, this we do not need to do at the moment. Other frustrations are yoyoing with other bikes that do not like being overtaken!1 point

Couldn't agree more with you Bernie we were made most welcome by ever one at the Westfield factory. But how lucky were we to be behind that shower of rain, the roads were soaking from Tarporley all the way to Warrington Jeff1 point

I have a very rare Saturday off, so weather permitting, it would be a bit rude for me not to be there, especially as I'm only about 6 miles away1 point

I shall be there, but can't make the blatt as I am going to a lunch time party.1 point

The damage is likely to be far deeper than just the Tory party, much of Parliament is severely tainted by this whole fiasco since the Brexit vote. Their credibility with the voters is at an all time low IMHO.1 point

White grease is supposed to be the most waterproof grease and is nice and sticky, so clings we’ll to metal. Patio door wheels and tracks do get clogged up with all sorts of debris, so if you can remove the door and thoroughly clean the the wheels this will help. Also don’t lube the track and outside the wheels else the door will skid along the track which is why the door is hard to move. Just lube up the small axle inside the wheels so it rolls along the track. Another problem with the wheels is they can crack in half or chip which makes them even harder to open in which case you need to renew the wheel or wheels. I did this about 3 years ago and only now the patio door has started to feel a bit heavier, so needs a clean and lube soon. The door is not that difficult to remove, you need to loosen the adjuster screws at each wheel so the door drops enough for the top of the door to swing outwards. Don’t try it on yer own, you’ll need 2 people at least to lift it out.1 point

Doh, just realised it's Gold Cup weekend, (thought it was the week after, for some reason), I'm out I'm afraid, as I'll be at Oulton Park too much of the rest of the weekend to do Saturday as well.0 points
