Second to last leg of our tour today and we have arrived in Diest , Belgium. we stopped off at the ring for a bit of spectating and at our viewing point a BMW had spun, hit the kerb and blew a tyre, the man driving had phoned his wife who came round with a spare wheel which he changed and was off again. It has still been very hot but we were blessed with a lovely refreshing shower just before arrival at the hotel which we just drove through with roof still off to cool off. Thunderstorms now at the hotel so roofs on for tomorrow’s last leg to Zebrugge3 points

The plan today was to go to the ring, do a bit if spectator watching, then have a go. When we got up this morning it was just too hot boo hoo, 41 this aft 🥵 struggled to stay outside for any length of time without ducking into shops with aircon , couldn’t really walk in direct sunshine! Our cars were hitting temps of 100 yesterday normal driving never mind the ring, it’s a bit disappointing as it was on our bucket list , we will visit tomorrow for a butchers though on our way to our last hotel stop in Belgium. So here are some pictures of lovely Koblenz which is on the Rhine river.3 points

Standards are slipping at Westfield if that's the best looking model they could find to sit in the drivers seat and show off their new car I guess they blew the budget on the aquisition and had nothing left for a pretty girl2 points

Still got the same wheels, I looked into replacing them, but tyre choice makes it really awkward, couldn't find anything good in 14 inch wheel with the right offsets, didn't want 15s, 13s limited tyre choice to track day stuff. It was too much hassle the end and so I just put some new tyres on the old wheels.2 points

@Eccie6816 It doesn't matter the car, it's for all WSCC members - the McWesty runs regularly have a Tiger and a Quantum joining in. Your profile says you're a trial member - if you are looking for a run/event to dip your toes in and see if we're an OK bunch, then come along, we don't bite (best not make eye contact with Big Brian though, especially before lunch) 😋 Out of interest, where is home and what's your 'other seven kit'?1 point

I also like @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Secretary Is next to a sign that says don’t be a victim, catch it early. 🤣 Maybe @Cleggy the Spyder Man can take inspiration and do the same to his Spyder? *runs away after rolling grenade into room...*1 point

Not for long, I know the dodgy bloke behind the wheel and I’m guessing it’ll be gone soon. 🤣1 point

Those wheels.... you can date the pics from them alone! I must say those Momo Arrow alloys were a thing of beauty - I do miss them!1 point

That's a lot posher than we used to have in the Royal Navy, when I served in Faslane we had AFD 60 (Admiralty Floating Dock No. 60), we were able to take our Sub's out of the water in short order if required (and because they were still technically still 'afloat' we didn't have the bothersome regulatory issues with Nuclear Licensing) Ironic that 26 years later I'm working on a programme in Rosyth to dismantle our old Resolution Class Submarines, but we're doing that in a conventional dry dock ! That's the one mate...free on netflix. Best thing I've seen on cars for a long time...possibly ever.... really nicely shot, put together and narrated. Mart.1 point

I was a wet behind the ears fresh engineer having worked for about 9 months at Spax after finishing university (Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering.) Little did I know that i’d Quit 9 months later, do 2 other damper design jobs and then return 18 months later. And stay.. The Westfields back then all had Spax, up to about 1999-2000.1 point
