354 miles done today. Most of it motorway but it was still enjoyable. Tonight we went to Dungeness and also past the live firing ranges. Dungeness is beautiful and desolate. Google Dungeness and read the Wikipedia page as it is so, so interesting. Expensive houses, houses built from railway carriages, nature, shipwrecks and nuclear power stations. Not forgetting the miniature railway. What's not to love.3 points

Had a good day at Blyton yesterday. Was great to be back out after the various issues. Thanks for your help getting me back up and running everyone. Car ran and handled well..kept oil level on high side and pressure good all day with no surge noticed.. thanks Adam for geometry settings definitely felt better at the front end. We did the eastern circuit first which was interesting although cut short by front wing stay breaking clean through unannounced! Luckily we managed to get to local garage for a quick mig fix! Strange how it broke as it did not show any signs of having cracked before.. In the afternoon we did the inner circuit which was fantastic fun.. really had a great time and the car ran well and again with improved handling was even more enjoyable! Let's hope it continues for rest of the season!!3 points

Not been started for at least 7 years (I think) and it’s now running! I am so pleased 😀 Changed the oil, coolant and drained the old fuel out. Oil looked a bit second hand and the old fuel was brown ! Flushed the fuel tank and fuel lines through with some fresh fuel cranked it with the fuel pipe off, reconnected them, it turned over about three times and fired 👍 Tomorrows job is get the brakes working again and find reverse as I can’t remember where it is 🤣 all forward gears are selectable though.3 points

Loving the fact that you captured the TVR car show coming in the opposite direction. They were waving more than us at one point. Thanks for taking the time to prepare and putting the video on Trevor, now go and get your coat2 points

What's your mostest favourite album folks? The one you couldn't possibly live without? Looking at the many variations of cars across this site, I'm guessing that there will be a wide variety of different styles and genres and I would love to see what you like to listen to! Mine is "How to make friends and influence people" by Terrorvision. Take it away folks....1 point

Hi these were taken off a Westfield SE live axle car springs and dampers - best to rebuild before use although not leaking when removed. Collection from Birmingham or arrange your own courier, I don't have any pictures they are packaged up.1 point

Day 3 evening after some supper we nipped along to Dungeoness windy and misty and very atmospheric so did some black and white film photos of the old fishing boats and dozers on the shingle. Then it was time to fill up and head back for an early night as we get an early train in the morning. AND tomorrow France and foreign climes beckon1 point

Changed mine a few years ago now on my 1997 seight to protech aluminium ones, from spax, such an amazing difference. Although I did have to change the front springs to something heavier https://www.protechshocks.co.uk/products/westfield/ Currently the springs I have are:- rear - 175lbs front - 350lbs think originally the factory supplied 175/300lbs springs on my rolling chassis. Your choice really depends on price, I found the protechs to be good value for the price, sure other opinions will follow shortly. regards scott1 point

It ended up with 9 cars and 16 people. We had Andy and Sue, Andy and Ann, Andy and Pete (are you keeping up?) Bill, Richard, Trevor and Kirsty, John and Jacky, Michael and Marie meeting us at Sainsburys for a quick take away brew and tyre kick before we set off on the B roads avoiding the Bank Holiday crowds, arriving at the wee stop which also conveniently provided a good photo opportunity. The route was twisty and scenery was excellent. The nutters did the panorama dance first Before I could photograph the real stars of the day With Trevors car having just done a meaty trackday at Cadwell last Thursday, John's car being set up remotely by @IanK (Bagpuss) (well done Ian) and Billy's car being the King of Carbs, everyone's car was running well and spirits were high. The cars The drivers High roads, twisty roads, cracking scenery and a dynamic TVR car show coming in the opposite direction. I was driving single handed at one point as there were that many TVR's to wave at, the group reckon about 60 cars. This is not a picture of them We soon arrived at the cafe, slightly early, so thank you and well done to everyone for your promptness today. The view from the cafe The cafe, with Trevor and Kirsty, note Trevor is still smiling from his passenger lap in the Lobster at Cadwell, it sounded like quite a ride!!! Bill left us at this point, bye Bill I was hemmed in so John and Jacky led us out of the car park I was supposed to take the lead from there but the instruction was easy and John carried on, ok? er, no. 'Turn right at the T junction at the end of the road' but in Barnsley language that interprets to 'take any right that you like the look of' to cut a long story short, John and Jacky were found safe and well some hours later. We won't mention it because what happens on a meet stays on a meet. We all got the the cake stop along a high road with dramatic rock formations and far reaching views The cafe, where it was warm enough to sit outside and eat cake John and Jacky did join us eventually, hooray for sat navs. John is still facing in the wrong direction Great roads, good food, excellent company and what absolutely lovely cars you all have. Thank you for coming today everyone, I hope you have enjoyed it as much as we have. Some last few photo's from the lunch stop. Richards car John, Andrew and our car Andy and Ann's car Andy and Sue's car1 point
