  2. What a fantastic weekend, really enjoyed our first Stoneleigh as members and our first show outing for our Westfield Cosworth. Nice making new friends, great community spirit and more importantly plenty of banter. Will bring the boys again next year, they loved it! Till next time

  3. I just wanted to thank everyone I met today at Stoneleigh. I normally just walk around as I don’t know that many people but today I barely left the Westfield area. As soon as I pulled up people where talking to me and I spoke with so many others. I really loved today, so I just want to thank everyone I spoke with today for making it a brilliant day.

  8. Hi, Just to say hello and a big thank you to a few members I met at Stoneleigh yesterday. I purchased my first westfield a few months ago that I'm currently working on to get it road registered. Thanks again Matt

  9. No idea what happened here. And who though it would be a good idea to paint new white lines in the car park?

  18. Well after no luck getting a second hand carpet set I decided to dye my old tired grey ones, using carpet dye and leather/ vinyl dye for the arm rests and crash pad and I’m pretty happy with the results, just the dash left to do.

  19. Hello from Cognac France, My name is Jean-Pierre, I live near Cognac and have two Westfield : the first one is a 1986 Westfield Seven the other one is a 1987 Westfield Seven SE. Both are Crossflow powered. I bought them from a dealer in UK, but had no history at all, and I hope I will find some help on the forum. Both cars now French registered were very well finished and maintained. I am not familiar with forums, so I hope I didn't fail introducing me.

  21. Almost forgot this with all the excitement of the Stoneleigh weekend, but it's the Yorkshire meeting tomorrow night, 7th May at the Fox and Grapes from 7.30ish. That's TOMORROW @Breakable?, not last Tuesday.

  22. Are you sure? That link shows Broomhall Castle, Stirling, not Barony Castle near Peebles 🤔 I'm booked into Barony Castle for the Saturday night 👍

  24. Some things I bought. I treated myself to a new WSCC coat which is very nice and a 2" spanner. My father-in-law likes to buy big shiny tools, so I thought he would appreciate a big spanner. It'll make a good paper weight.

  25. This was one of my favourites as it was such a nice change to see a car with the roof up. The car is such a lovely shape. I also enjoyed the white Dutton amphicar and want one and I fell in love with Sabrina.

  26. Gary and Geoffrey do I believe, were just going to follow. I think one them is going to be at the front and the other as tail gunner to keep us all together. Ive put the hotel addresses on my TomTom already so worst case and we get split we will just head there.

  28. Only a 10 hour drive for me to get there, back home at 4am... must say I was expecting more Sprint Series peeps there, but nevertheless an enjoyable event and learnt a lot

  29. I had a great day yesterday. A big thanks to everyone involved in making the WSCC display the best at the show again! 👍 A few photos from me, only from phone so not the best resolution. Did anyone else see the chap on the mobility scooter? I saw him twice while I was there. First time I thought he was falling over. Second time I realised it was his party piece and managed to get a photo 😃 Hopefully everyone has a good one today!

  30. Not without physically seeing it! Our cars are are valued more on build quality components and condition - not age or model.

  32. I am considering this as an option to do hillclimb in Madeira Island versus my initial thought of a BRC CM02. Will look into how much cost to get it move here. All the best, Nuno

  34. Teesside.. Stockton.. Dicky dark.. 4am alarm goes off. Cars fuelled and ready to go... Just to pick my son up and away I go.. Aeroscreen requires helmet use and headphones... Guess who forgot one of them.. Yup.. Lol a one way communication day. 🙄 A local garage saves the day when we get to Stoneleigh. Met up with 5 chaps including Geoff Buttercup at Beverley Toby carvery for breakfast 7.15am.. Finally got there after 2hrs drive south over the glorious North York Moors early doors! Wet roads, looming rain, - 1 and 2 frozen nutters out for enjoyment? Lol After leaving Toby Carvery I got separated from the group, sat nav by default is set to miss tolled roads, we were going over Humber Bridge... Toll so guess who blindly followed the crap nav? Hand up.. Me - bahhh. Great roads though.! Finally caught up after the group waited graciously for us... "sheepish" Tbh I hadn't a clue where we were going. Got separated AGAIN.. b******* it... I text Geoff that I'll see you there... Show was smaller than I remember... But still OK. Big thanks to the Westy staff for minding my crash helmets.. Appreciate your help. So what goodies bought... New track rod ends and 2 front ball joints.. Lol Oh and finally the 2 plastic inserts for the steering column... Finally home though after a long day... 4am - 9pm... 🤪

  35. Did anybody count how many cars we had this year couldn't see at the front? Think the convoy went well (apart from the Kenilworth road closure), I don't think we lost anybody, must be a first🤣🤣🤣

  36. @H.7 Cool, name added to list above. We are staying in Peebles, haven't booked anything yet but will need to shake leg as it is a Bank Holiday weekend. I think Gary is staying over too, given the distance he is travelling.

  38. I'm just about to set off, Martin! A bitter/sweet moment, the car left my home on a small car transporter less than half an hour ago. No more will I have people coming up to me in car parks and filling stations saying Wow, that looks fun, what is it? Then again, the money is in the bank, and I can now pay back the money which I "borrowed" from my pension funds to buy my Jaguar XKR!!

  39. On the way to Stoneleigh yesterday! Binding front left caliper. Auto Aid wanted to send us back to Glasgow. B&B where we are staying said that one of their guests was going to the show and had a car full of tools and was happy to help, so Auto Aid transported us there. Working by cellphone torchlight we got it sorted - the Westie will go to the ball (and hopefully get back to Glasgow for a brake strip down)!
