  1. It can’t possibly be a bank holiday!

  2. I was really nervous about the car but the further I drove the better I felt I drove across country and it was so much better than I anticipated. It's a beautiful little car, people come and chat when I get fuel or park up. The roads are amazing round north Hampshire. I just need to get a proper holder for my phone - I had it tucked it in the leg if my shorts!

  3. Sure did What a great day with @LukeW, event was sold out but circuit wasn't too busy and had some good clear runs and no car issues. Apart from a couple of drivers who obviously had no rear mirrors and two citroen C1's (one of which ended up rolling in the gravel) etiquette was very good and only two red flags all day!

  5. There appears to be more and more C1s and Ford Ka's appearing at trackdays lately due to the race series they compete in. Everyone's entitled to go at their own pace of course, but even a really well driven Ka is not a fast machine. They can disrupt the flow somewhat..

  6. Never believe or even remotely rely on the fuel gauge! best to brim it, reset the trip, drive for say 50 - 75 miles and brim it again. Then you know how much it’s used and can thus work out what’s left in the tank (roughly). Then just get used to filling it up and use the trip meter as a gauge.

  7. They do seem to live life on the edge through every corner! 1:20? He must’ve been taking it easy! I go quicker in my M3

  8. It was quite entertaining when following one into a bend watching the 100mm wide tyres flexing under the strain. We did have the pleasure of sharing the track with a McLaren 600LT which I timed from the pit wall at around 1min 20secs per lap!

  10. During my short trip to Donington on Monday I had the pleasure of two C1's as well. I'm all for every type of car and driver being on track but **** me some people need to learn how to look in the rear mirror regardless of how quick/slow they are going!

  12. Look for “wrought iron” businesses. - they make gates and fences but will knock up something like this.

  13. Looks pretty healthy to me. The nearly empty fuel tank looks pretty standard too.

  14. +1 for a local fabricator I'm getting something very similar made at the moment but as a mesh end panel for my trailer, total cost including galvanising was £150.

  15. Do you have any steel fabricators locally? Perfect kind of 1 off project that they could easily make and have galvanised/painted for you

  16. There has been some discussion with the BSC competitors about layout as well. So my current understanding is that the organising club will be considering exactly which layout they are going to run on each day and then be making an announcement to all competitors about it. But everyone will be running the same circuit that day. Personally I love the old paddock bend and seeing if you can keep it flat all the way round

  18. UKIP did their job which was to get us out of the EU. The electorate then abandoned them because once the job was done there was no need for them. Brexit Party has come about because it has been recognised that there is another job to be done. Like or loathe Farage, he's one of the few politicians who has achieved a clear and stated manifesto aim which cannot be denied. Here's UKIP's 2015 manifesto at a glance. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2015/apr/15/ukip-manifesto-2015-the-key-points Now, if only Daniel Hannan would re-raise his profile and get himself heard again we might get somewhere more quickly.
