  2. I love the SE & SEI brochure from Mark. Look at the prices of fully built cars and how simple the part numbers were back then.

  5. What a great collection, we've quicky amassed! It would be really good to add the date (or approx date) to the filenames to aid those such as I to understand the vintage of our great products!

  8. Wow you lot are just fantastic. Taking me down memory lane. I’ll have to dig out some of my stuff.

  9. It’s quite telling that the brochure about a single Westfield model that’s been downloaded the most often so far just happens to be the one with a woman on the front. What a coincidence...

  11. If you know your way round a circuit on a bike, I cant imagine the lines will be much different in a car. Its a good starting point. I see the car your looking at has twin webers. (It looks a great spec for a track car btw) I run webers on my car, and .. touching wood.. I've never suffered fuel surge anywhere.. including Mallory. My understanding is the carbs have built in fuel reservoirs .. float chambers? Good luck with the purchase and I'll hopefully see you on track sometime.

  12. Yes if you don’t have a swirl pot then it’s a fine balance between over filling (potentially forcing out of breather depending on setup) and not enough in the tank! i nearly got rear ended when mine spluttered and lost power after a series of sharp corners once. Now I have a swirl pot I can run with just a few litres in if I have to.

  13. Done Mallory a few times. Great place for a westie and relatively low speed to get used to the car, but challenging to get your skills honed. Watch out for fuel starvation through Gerrard. Keep the tank topped up.

  14. Oh the format is pretty much always the same I’ve found: sign on, briefing, noise test (unless it’s only drive-by), three sighting laps, open pit lane, lunch, open pit lane.

  15. Car days are nearly always “open pit lane”. I too went from bikes to the Westy and had done bike track days in groups. After initially being apprehensive I now find open pit lane much better. You can just get on track as and when you like and stay out if you are having fun. Only downside is if the muppets over book (only happened once) and then there’s a lot of queuing up to get out. But that’s rare. Really enjoying it!

  16. Hi Robin, are you coming to Stoneleigh? I could pick it up from you then and scan it myself if you don't have the facilities to do so.

  17. Thanks @Stuart and @IanK (Bagpuss) for your contributions! I've created a new section in the Downloads area for the brochures and uploaded them. Still need to add some info on them in due course so be aware it's not the final product, but at least everyone can see what we have so far and contribute to fill in the gaps if they have other ones not shown. Keep 'em coming! Linky dinky to Brochures

  18. Mist what mist? Wall to wall sunshine all day. (Drove through some proper pea soup on the way home though. ) Unfortunately the car was battling me! Plagued by start motor issues.. but when it ran all was good. Thank god for a willing pair of hands. My lad did a good job getting it sorted. We didn't actually lose much track time.. but it was just a pain in the
