  1. Woke up to blue skies this morning, and they haven't salted the roads since the rain, result! So dogs walked, and decided it was too good an opportunity to miss. Nice day for a potter in the Westie. Pleasant run down to the south coast, and a walk in the sun at Lyme Regis. Light lunch in the sun, then along to Bridport, and home via Crewkerne, which just happened to mean we had to go through Beaminster tunnel! Nothing to exciting, but an enjoyable trundle around nonetheless, found some soggy roads, but not too much mud! The joy of being retired, just got to work out what to do tomorrow, apart from wash the car

  15. I was thinking of people giving merchandise as gifts, birthdays etc. Not t-shirts with an Easter bunny in a Westfield. I just ordered a bright yellow t-shirt with a Westfield on for myself and a couple of other articles of clothing. They might well fall apart after washing! Possibly marketing to area clubs, North Yorkshire Owner's Group for example! What say you buttercup???

  17. I think Westfield merchandise is missing a trick. Proud dad's with children and wives. Seasonal gifts. I'm a Harley rider, have a peek at their merchandise? Imaginative and something for everyone. Just saying. Jude

  18. Just try not to be too picky - the less you care about the car, the more fun it becomes! Import Eunos are reported to all come with an LSD, that's one of the key reasons they're recommended, but ours is an Eunos and didn't have an LSD. It does make a huge difference to drive out of corners so well worth having, if you can't find one with an LSD already in, they can be bought cheaply off eBay or via the Facebook groups- we picked up a 4.1 torsen LSD with prop and drive shafts for £300!

  24. Try coolex in Nottingham. If you have a polo style rad they have several options and can advise the optimum for your engine. If you need a different shape they can make it for you. Here's an example:

  25. How about a full size Westfield flag (6’ x 4’) to replace the Mercedes F1 team flag that goes on our pole 22 times a year (or more this year).

  30. Just a thought. We went on a touring holiday last year in our Westfield and it was impossible to find waterproof bags that fit inside the boot tub. Ours is a Seight with long range fuel tank which makes the problem worse. To walk into a B&B or hotel with your belongings in a bin bag is not really the style. Sausage shaped bags, like tent bags, would be great and people could buy as many as they need to suit their tub shape. You could go as far as having some that are more robustly made for more precious bits of kit. Westfield logo on black bags? Simple, cheap, desirable and easily postable. Maybe I should make some.....

  31. With the clothing, have some where the branding is not so obvious/in your face. Sometimes its nice to wear something a bit more subtle, i.e. black on black printing/embroidery, just a small logo, no logo but a little tab, etc. A sticker for the tin top. Again, subtle but for those in the know to spot you, i.e. not a big "my other car is a Westfield!"... maybe just a small sunrise logo with clear backing? Gloves +1 for garage banner +1 for including random stickers in orders (for putting on tool box, car, laptop, etc.)

  33. A turbo torch would get that red hot, which is what you need to break the rust and some mole grips. Unless you want to get an induction heater stud remover , which are pretty funky.

  34. Really like the sound of that, having a nice folder, So you can keep the full history of the car to reference in one place.

  36. I have recently purchased a 1993 Westfield SE, reg Q369 GVR. It had had some extensive damage to the rear and front, off side suspension. The dealer I bought it from had no history for the vehicle and so I would like to know if anyone out there knows the car. The last 2 MOT's were done in Bourneville but that is as much as I know. Does anyone know anything about this car. I have almost completed the repairs and am looking forward to getting it back on the road. I am also looking for a pair of doors to fit. I have the roof and tourney cover in beige but no doors. Any help/info would be gratefully received.
