  5. Hi Simon I am only running in C due to Dog Box. If I had syncro I would be in A. But some of us are using 1B tyres so we can run in roadgoing classes 'on the day' As far as I know-- I have a full cage , but its not req for C ( however it may be req for 'Mod Prod ' if you put on 1C tyres that are allowed in C) I am using a hans also , but it is only req if you run Mod prod on the day You can run a standard class A car in C as far as I know ( hopefully someone who knows to rules better can confirm)

  10. Reminds me of a tatter I knew many years ago. He had some kind of ancient Bedford with only the boarded over bare chassis and a cab. He’d also made a “recovery trailer” out of a back axle, the idea was to wheel it under the front of the stricken vehicle then pick it up using the piece of U channel welded to the diff drive flange. One day, he was most irate. I asked him what was up. Apparently, he had a car on the back, one on the “trailer” and one balanced between the two and had been pulled by the constabulary. He couldn’t quite understand why..... gosh, happy days. Not thought about him in 40 years.

  14. I snapped a head bolt on my Ducati many years ago, had less than that sticking out. Copious amounts of penetrating oil, then tried mole grips: nothing moved. Finally filed two opposing flats onto the shank and managed to get a spanner to turn and free it. The bolt's now on my garage wall, as a reminder of the 5 hours it took to get it out.....!

  21. So we stripped the head off so it could be ported and the new cams fitted... What we did discover was the ports had been polished but very little else had been done and they were at 23.5mm. it also transpired that some of the exhaust valves were leaking and two were very slightly bent.. We replaced the valves, ported the head correctly and re seated all the valves etc... We also discovered that the ITB's where out of line and this was also rectified as this wouldn't have helped with the mapping..... Should all be good to go on the dyno on 4th of Feb..
