  1. Clothing always goes down well: (I know some has already been mentioned) Snood/buff/neck warmer type things T-shirts Hoodys fleeces outer layers beanies/caps etc gloves A typical list, BUT, making sure that you included proper layered type products, including wind stopper layers as well as water proofs is a key way to differentiate from the norm, that goes beyond just badges/printing/embroidering. Brollies are always popular, specialty cockpit covering styles. Luggage. Take a look at the number of owners doing everything from track day stop overs to full continental expeditions. Luggage that was designed to fit in and on Westfields, from boot bags with built in straps to attach to the roll bar, through to tall thin style bags that would go behind the seats etc. Tunnel saddle bags are great, but owners don't always have room for the traditional SBfS style, what about effectively making something similar to the two pouches that hang down either side of the tunnel, but as separate items, that could be attached to the tunnel sides or inner side panels by press studs or similar? Given how many people keep huge files of receipts and paperwork, how about a nice, smart leather bound, (or similar) classic car log book style folder, but say an A4 ring binder, that all the cars documents could be kept in. If you wanted to be really swish with it, you could include branded, pre-labelled dividers, too. Smart phone/iPad covers... Its all about raising brand awareness and at the same time making owners feel part of something bigger when they're out and about, AND things around the home etc that remind them of the car and inspire them to get out and about with it.

  2. Really like the sound of that, having a nice folder, So you can keep the full history of the car to reference in one place.

  3. Today would not even have happened if it were not for @aeg and his weather report, so thank you and well done, you will make a great weather girl one day and Glen might fancy you too. When Andrew left home at 7.45am it was -3.5 degrees here, that's MINUS 3.5. Andrew, Glen and I drove into winter wonderland as we went on to the high ground of Hulme End, and waiting for us in the car park were Marie and BillyPee. It is always a pleasure to see Marie and I do hope she can join us all again soon with Michael too. Soon to arrive were Martyn and Sue, with Andy and Becky following. Martyns car, co-ordinating with the phone box. Icy car park Bill coming was a lovely surprise as we had not seen his post, but then Simon, Michelle and 3 of their children surprised us too, how very wonderful. Michelle looked as radiant as ever, how can you look as good as that with all those children around? Simon had his co-coordinating 'Waterfall Motor Sports' t-shirt on (his Westfield is orange with a green stripe), love it, love it. We all grabbed a brew and settled down for a good catch up. Marie and Simon left us here, but there was another surprise at Wetton when @rjc4176 Rob popped in to see us. I took a decision that the back roads were a bit ropey and the route I had in mind would not be at it's best, so we went along a very pretty road and landed in Wetton safe and sound. Wing mirror full of Westfields We arrived at our second icy car park of the day In the beautiful village of Wetton We all had a healthy lunch and then because we eat a balanced diet............I will let you guess the next bit Rebecca 2 slices (she will kill me for this one) Martyn Eccles Me? I had one of my five a day, chocolate and orange cake, with a proper pot of tea. As we were all munching away a geezer came in, laughing away, it was Rob! what a fantastic surprise. He was on holiday in Wetton with 22 other members of his family and someone said to him 'Hey, Rob, there are some Westfields in the village' so he guessed it was us and popped in to say hello, brill. I love it when that happens. He had not been short of excitement on his holiday as he told us that he had been zooming around on a quad bike experience day in Ashbourne. So all in all, for a day that nearly got cancelled, it has been super with lovely views and amazing company. It was freezing and my fingers did hurt most of the time with the cold. We washed the car off when we got home and the rain did come as forecast, just as we finished it, perfect timing. Thank you to everyone for coming today despite the freezing temperatures.

  4. Hi All, Today I picked up a new Westy. It’s been 20 years since my last one and yes that time scale is child related It was a flipping cold drive home but loved every minute and spent the afternoon taking stickers off a previous owner had applied

  9. Just a thought on clothing, a size guide is essential IMHO. One companies L, is often somebody else's XL or M! A simple guide takes the guesswork out (hopefully). Doesn't take account of people's optimistic view of themselves though

  10. As said earlier, well done Patrick, at last someone from the factory that we can interact with. We spoke on the phone a couple of weeks ago, you came across as a top bloke and you even called me back when you said you would, it's all very refreshing and lets hope there is plenty more of it. The neck buff is a great idea, nice and thick material, in black, dotted with the Westfield logo. Also a low price slipper bag and a higher price, quality, man bag, with the Westfield logo would be useful. I love the Westfield logo (can you guess), it promotes the brand, rather than random seven style cars. We have a class brand here and we should be proud of it.

  12. Hello all, I've either misplaced or never received the exhaust tip for my kit. Part post silencer, WF no longer sell them apparently, as the company went bust. Although they still show it on the website. Has anybody got one lying around, or any recommendations on likely suppliers ? Cheers

  13. Just reading the scare sheet that comes with every prescription, this time for my arthritis meds. I noticed that ARTHRITIS is an anagram of IRISH TART, and found it interesting that both things can make you very stiff, just in different ways.

  16. Well, I used to be on fluticasone and methotrexate with zero issues, now on much stronger asthma meds, no issues. You need to have a chat with a rheumatologist about methotrexate. Honestly, I’d probably have been in a wheelchair by now without it. Pretty nasty and strong stuff but safe with monitoring. Look it up.

  17. Fluticasone for asthma and nowt for arthritis. A quick joke regarding age and sex. Q. What's the difference between a young man and an old man? A. One has a very supple body and very stiff genitals, the other has a very stiff body and very supple genitals.

  22. @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Secretary some really good ideas. Your brain storming session was a lot more productive than mine I'll discuss all mentioned ideas with the team. I'm sure we can add some of these in to our range.

  23. @Julie Hall - AO Representative, Peak District AO thank you for the positive comment. I do remember the phone cal. Thank you for the suggestions. I'll forward these on to our team and discuss. Some fantastic ideas so far from all members. Yes our brand is amazing. The cars really captured my imagination. I knew from the moment I walked in this is what I wanted to do for a job. It's the passion that keeps the brand pushing forward.

  41. I think what would be nice is a Westfield sticker sheet or a couple of stickers whenever someone buys anything ? Also things in parts like the carbon wing mirror covers. They sold in minutes. Think about having 30 or 40 sets at that price, as was a great price . Turnover is great with a sensible margin !

  42. Thanks Patrick. I saw that when it arrived today. Sadly the rad brackets were missing . I phoned you guys and being sorted, so all good

  44. This competition is back for another year and if you need an excuse to drive your Westfield, here is one. The MOT certificate records an odometer reading. This competition is looking for who has the biggest difference between their Westfield’s 2017 and 2018 MOT certificate odometer reading. In my opinion getting the ‘Westfield’ miles in makes you a winner anyway. The prize for first place is £50 worth of vouchers to spend at the Westfield Factory Parts Department. Second and third place will get you £10 and £5 respectively off your membership renewal in WSCC for next year. What are you waiting for? Get driving. THE BORING BITS • The mileage must be in a Westfield. • The competition is open to WSCC members only, not the Committee or Area Organisers. • The closing date is midnight 10th November 2018. • Submit entries to peak@wscc.co.uk with a copy of your MOT certificate attached. • The judge’s decision is final. • You must agree to your entry being published in Westfield World magazine and online in the WSCC forum. • Prize must be redeemed within 12 months, is non-transferable and no substitute prize or cash equivalent will be offered. • If you have won first place in this competition before you cannot enter it again.

  45. Humm.... I don't think I'm really in with a chance given my current milage. 329 miles in the last 4 years....... 88 of which would have been driven taking it to the MoT station and back I need to get out of the garage more
