Today would not even have happened if it were not for @aeg and his weather report, so thank you and well done, you will make a great weather girl one day and Glen might fancy you too. When Andrew left home at 7.45am it was -3.5 degrees here, that's MINUS 3.5. Andrew, Glen and I drove into winter wonderland as we went on to the high ground of Hulme End, and waiting for us in the car park were Marie and BillyPee. It is always a pleasure to see Marie and I do hope she can join us all again soon with Michael too. Soon to arrive were Martyn and Sue, with Andy and Becky following. Martyns car, co-ordinating with the phone box. Icy car park Bill coming was a lovely surprise as we had not seen his post, but then Simon, Michelle and 3 of their children surprised us too, how very wonderful. Michelle looked as radiant as ever, how can you look as good as that with all those children around? Simon had his co-coordinating 'Waterfall Motor Sports' t-shirt on (his Westfield is orange with a green stripe), love it, love it. We all grabbed a brew and settled down for a good catch up. Marie and Simon left us here, but there was another surprise at Wetton when @rjc4176 Rob popped in to see us. I took a decision that the back roads were a bit ropey and the route I had in mind would not be at it's best, so we went along a very pretty road and landed in Wetton safe and sound. Wing mirror full of Westfields We arrived at our second icy car park of the day In the beautiful village of Wetton We all had a healthy lunch and then because we eat a balanced diet............I will let you guess the next bit Rebecca 2 slices (she will kill me for this one) Martyn Eccles Me? I had one of my five a day, chocolate and orange cake, with a proper pot of tea. As we were all munching away a geezer came in, laughing away, it was Rob! what a fantastic surprise. He was on holiday in Wetton with 22 other members of his family and someone said to him 'Hey, Rob, there are some Westfields in the village' so he guessed it was us and popped in to say hello, brill. I love it when that happens. He had not been short of excitement on his holiday as he told us that he had been zooming around on a quad bike experience day in Ashbourne. So all in all, for a day that nearly got cancelled, it has been super with lovely views and amazing company. It was freezing and my fingers did hurt most of the time with the cold. We washed the car off when we got home and the rain did come as forecast, just as we finished it, perfect timing. Thank you to everyone for coming today despite the freezing temperatures.3 points

Due to personal circumstances I am having to sell my Westfield with red FW bodywork. The car was bought in modular form from Westfield starting in Autumn 2013 with the build finished in December 2017. IVA passed first time in December 2017 and registered in January 2018. 1990 miles completed with no problems in 2018. 2.0 L Zetec blacktop engine with Raceline sump Omex ECU Jenvey throttle bodies Type 9 gearbox Wide track front suspension Team Dynamics wheels with Toyo R1R tyres Carbon effect cycle wings Carbon effect rear stone guards Carbon effect rear diffuser Carbon NV indicator pods Carbon NV roll bar bolt covers Westfield Sport Turbo seats MSA rollbar 4 inch Dominator headlights Soft Bits for Sevens tunnel bag Westfield doors and wind deflectors. Heated windscreen but no heater The standard FW spats, headlights and indicator pods have been removed and replaced with Dominator headlights and Carbon NV indicator pods. I have a pot of red gelcoat which I was going to repair the holes in the bodywork with but I will leave these open in case new owner wishes to revert. I would like the car to go to someone on the forum who will continue to develop it and hopefully I can follow its journey. All receipts have been kept Asking price £14750 but open to sensible offers. Please PM me with any questions.1 point

I have to say I'm even more uncertain now about which class to enter, hence my delay. Having done the last 5 events with a synchro box, and planning to switch to 1B's this year because I was tired of being lumped in with mod prod/slicks on the day, I was still intending to run in class D as it seemed unsporting to change to class B. This, despite my car being more aligned to class B. For the last 6 years I've also run high-backed GRP seats and belts on both sides and will continue to do so. (Apart from that one experiment at the last round at Anglesey of following most others and swapping the passenger seat for a sponge/curtain/rug low back affair). However, I see that those running on 1Cs (ZZRs) in D will now benefit from the added advantage of being allowed to remove the passenger seat and belts completely. I understand the reasoning behind that, but surely it's moving D even further away from road going. It certainly creates more of a disincentive to me to enter class D, which I've stayed true to for many years.1 point

Probably because he would need to buy some stabilisers to be able to use it and a Penelope Pitstop pink helmet with flying scarf1 point

Thanks Slasher, I’ve zoomed in on the number plate holder and got the phone number of the dealer, I’ll call them tomorrow and get a spare key made. You can keep the bike.1 point

Blimey, we are playing weather tennis here. YES YES GO FOR IT. The rain is coming later than previously said, ruddy weather girls (Abbey Dewhurst this one) I'm going back to my field full of chunky proper sized men who are doing a pretty good job of thrashing the Irish. See you all in the morning1 point

I'm staggered they don't auto-renew like 99% of other insurance companies. To be fair I'm not a fan of auto-renewal but in these instances (and I had one myself this year) it's actually quite handy1 point

Just a thought on clothing, a size guide is essential IMHO. One companies L, is often somebody else's XL or M! A simple guide takes the guesswork out (hopefully). Doesn't take account of people's optimistic view of themselves though1 point

Tragic! Just make sure you don't get your finger (or anything else!) stuck in a dyke!1 point
