  1. Reviving a bit of an old topic here, but after a little bit of digging around, I've come across some coverage of the 1996 British GT round at Silverstone that the Westfield competed in, with some good shots of it at: 1:16 4:44 6:04 and some pre-season still shots of it before it was yellow. 0:17 5:20

  2. It's the best way for me to interact with the community and my customer base. I'm attending Stoneleigh and I'm coming to the Hog Roast for a sneaky beer after the first day. Really looking forward to it.

  4. Since posting the original question I have changed cars. My new car has a MSA rollbar and I have a Westfield supplied half hood for it.

  5. @thebutler Thank you for the congratulations. I totally understand where you are coming from and I greatly appreciate the feedback, we can't improve without it. In regards to postage, it's something I noticed myself when I started. I've contacted our logistics supplier to try and obtain better rates. I will however be looking at this situation over the next few months. I want to improve the buying process. If it means lowering the carriage costs, we will discuss it and amend if need be. As I've recently started, I need to learn and assess for a while before I can make lasting changes. Regards Patrick

  6. Only just seen this . I’m a true yorkshire man and believe in getting my monies worth, and can honestly say I think I did, although I may have some toast next time too as after 2 full English breakfasts, 1 Yorkshire pud, 2 cups of T and a glass of coke, I reckon I could squeeze in 2 slices, should keep me going till lunch then.

  9. @thebutler I've looked at your order. The weight calculation wasn't done correctly. I've lowered the carriage cost to reflect. Regards Patrick

  12. That's pretty much the story at Bedford now. You get shown a noise board, come in, chat to the marshals and they'll tell you where you pinged the noisemerer so you can back off at that point. Given the length of the track, it doesn't detract from the experience at all! You'd only have a problem if you ignored the noise boards I think.

  13. you will need a super quiet exhaust for Bedford... I was binned on the first three laps on my VX220 and its not even close to the noise of my Westie...

  14. I'm up for some track days as she should be finished in a couple of weeks... I suspect Donnington will be a no go but I may forgo some power and use a DB killer/modified end pipe so I can still play (subject to the ITB noise)..

  16. I can’t imagine Kev fitting in a Narrow. .....No offence :D

  17. On mine I didn't want to drill into the cage so Jill (Soft bits) suggested a 3m Velcro pad stuck to the cage. the side straps have a Velcro "cuff" that goes round the tube. Works well and is very solid. Kenton

  20. Congrats in your new role. One thing that could use some attention is the shipping weight/postage costs calculations on the web shop. I've seen this a few times now, most recently last night. Wanted to order 8 x poly bushes and 2 x ali rad mount brackets, shipping weight came up as 8.5kg, and cost £17.50 with VAT! This is clearly both inaccurate and uncompetitive. Most online traders are offering free postage after a certain spend. I think if you're serious about the online parts store and making a business out of it, it should be addressed. Folks are likely to go elsewhere otherwise. This is intended as feedback rather than the usual common moaning. I ordered the stuff anyway, if I had more time/patience I would of waited and called! It didn't leave me feeling I had a good experience though, and that's an important part of retail in these times. All the best, Steve

  22. No limit on miles and we always fly back from the same airport we pick it up from, so I’m not best placed to advise but would love to do a bit of a road trip.

  24. Nice to hear from you , it would be advantageous for you to browse the forum regularly and you may be able to improve Westfields offering to members and the public from discussions that do happen from time to time on parts and lead times .

  29. Hi ‘Tis me’ - could not keep away from the Westfield bug. It’s the 3rd one I have owned & looking forward to having great fun with it. I would like to thank James for accommodating my 1001 questions & patience completing the purchase. He has done a marvellous job with the upgrades. cheers Simon

  30. Before my time as a youngie , but old family friends would always talk about this great man. So, we actually dont need negative camber, wide tyres, roll bars, race clothing , decent track surface. Just balls of steel.
