For most people I fear that they are all still fixated on how they voted before and are unwilling to look at anything that is against their view as they still are convinced by the lies from both sides. Now we are where we are a situation we should never have been in and in this age of social media and the young having a very short attention span so are going with the flow rather than finding out the facts as best they can. Labour would object to whatever May has even if it was perfect and came with a gold pig for everyone free, as they sniff a chance to get comrade Corbyn in power. Some Tories see it as an opportunity to oust her and have their choice or themselves to be PM. Sturgeon does not give two hoots what happens so long as she gets independence, a result of the bitterness that has evolved she has said they will vote against it anyway. Who would be brave or stupid enough to want to be leader to sort this lot out? I keep being told that the older person should have less say in this as we will die and the young people will have to deal with what we decide. Just the same as many of us had to when others voted to join the EEC (NOT EU) all those years ago, no one said it was not fair then, we as a country got on with it and made the best we could. It saddens me that many of the young I speak with spent more time on choosing their phone than finding out what was at stake for their future before voting. As a result of this those with axes to grind have divided the country, like never before. Divided by the vote, divided by age, divided by wealth, divided by areas of the UK and the worst division between NI and Eire potentially being made worse than ever by the EU manipulating this to their own ends and the DUP who appear to be people from the dark ages who only ever appear to say no, unless there is £10 billion offered. It is not a perfect deal and was never going to be so, but eventually I feel that once we have actually left, then the grown ups will take a pragmatic approach and make it work for both the EU and the UK. We will still be shackled for some time but every journey starts with a single step, or in this case a leap but it has to start. And just imagine if we ended up with another vote? What will happen if the vote went to stay this time, would others be expected to just accept it even if it was close again?

I fail to see the point in negotiating with an entity whose response is always "No! Now what did you propose?" Their sole object is to be as obstructive as possible with the (vain?) hope that Britain will grow tired and capitulate. Were we to do that, then the terms on which we would be re-admitted would not be those we have had before the referendum - it has already been said that what little remains of our rebate would be forfeit just to start. A united Europe is a Good Idea - just not as it was evolving and becoming a German dominated clique. Far from the leave voters realising what liars the Brexiteers were in the campaign for the vote (they were but so were the Remainers), but they have surely seen was a duplicitous and hostile group from which we wish to be released. All the threats of instant doom uttered by Cameron, Osborne, et al, have failed to materialise, and the younger voters, if they were to learn from history, should have realised that Britain was pretty damn prosperous before the EEC, EU, Common Market, et cetera, and can be so again. It's a shame that the more responsible sections of the media don't highlight Brussels' shortcoming with the same zeal with which they try to wear down Britain with phrases like "cliff edge" and "crash out". It's not a hard Brexit, but a clean Brexit most voters expected for whatever reasons they voted 'OUT'.

As soon as ricciardo came in to RB and wooped his ass vettels bottom lip has been quivering and hasn't stopped since. I suspect it's going to get worse for him next season with a young keen less compliant team mate.

A trading partnership is fine. The EU are trying and have been tying to get POLITICAL union in through the back door of trade. This is not acceptable. Kinnock was mentioned. I'll mention Mandelson and Farage as well. All of them soundly rejected by the UK electorate yet they become EU politicians. This is the very opposite of democracy and if it happens with those we vote out of office I'm sure it happens with politicians from other countries too. In other words the very people we deliberately reject end up being in a position of power and largely exempt from the will of the people. The British government handled this all wrong. The UK is the 5th biggest economy in the world https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2018/04/the-worlds-biggest-economies-in-2018/ We trade with more countries under WTO rules than we do with the EU. We should have said "We're out. If you want us to trade with you, come up with a deal or we'll spend our money elsewhere." And at the end of the day is Germany really going to say that they don't want to sell us BMW's, Mercedes, Audi's, Daimler, Bosch, Siemens etc etc. Hardly. We need to hold out nerve, stare down project fear, keep calm and carry on. The core of the EU are much more concerned about contagion. If they make it easy for us to leave then they will be faced with several other countries wanting to do the same. The harder they make it for us the more unattractive leaving looks to other countries who may be on the cusp, and that is political cynicism of gargantuan proportions. I'm old and I spend a LOT of my working time in Holland, France and Germany and I'm a confirmed leaver. No deal is fine by me. WTO rules will work the way they always have.
