  2. We have made it to Givet, just on the French side of the border. The day started cloudy then we had rain Terry had left his hood on I hadn't, bad mistake especially when I removed my wind deflectors and couldn't slott one if the doors in on the pin as it had become misaligned ! we dived into a maccy d's for a toilet stop and ventured on We hand some great twisty roads going over the north area above Lexenbourg this is a lovely area to explore. Terrys westy has developed a wiring gremlin when he's indicating right his rear brakes are flashing at the same time ready for scrapping now with the rear shunt and all ! Lovelly view over the river from our hotel in Givet last leg to Zeebrugge tomoz

  9. Nice to see how smooth the car was at 110mph, not a bit of vibration. Looks like you’re having a great time.

  14. Wel today was fun weather wise we went from glorious sunshine to rain to lighting to torrential downpours and back to glorious dunshine again! Just begore we crossed the border from Switzerland to Germany I remembered I still hadn't picked up a vignette sticker you need displayed on your windscreen for Swiss roads, Terry had one so I followed him though border control an inch from his bumper and got though ok Then as if by total chance we were on the German autobahn for a stretch so time go see if the luggage is stable at speed again! The westy did a legal 110 mph 2 up with luggage there was probably a bit more left as well (pic taken by passenger!) when the rain hit we stopped and put on half hoods and doors, it surprising how much they keep out but only once you get them on ! Terry has got himself a stick for when he reverses now which is a great idea lol We are staying at a lovely pub/hotel tonight in Lemberg built in 1872 so a few pilsners and off to bed

  15. So after breakfast this morning we all decided today was pass day I had googled the best 5 Swiss passes and the closest is Susten pass. Cars are in an underground car park at this hotel and when me and Nakki went down Terry and Caroline were already outside, the day had not started well for Terry - Caroline said tell Marcus what you have done! Now he could have tried to pull the wool over my eyes saying he lost the back end in a hair pin and just clipped the barrier on full opposite lock etc etc but I wouldn't have believed him so he just owned up and told us he had reversed into the hotel wall I told him it might buff out but then my finger went through the hole lol! Susten pass was amazing we went over then back again on the reverse route, got some good pics and vid footage. It's over 30 degrees at the base but quite a bit cooler when you are on the tops. Terrys says he's developed a misfire but might just have been the heat / inclines today so we'll see what it's like tomorrow. Called in at Lidl on the way back for supplies which has become a bit of a holiday tradition
