Getting close and getting excited. Upgraded the factor 15 to factor 30, super strength midge repellant on order. Would leaving the wet weather gear at home be a step too far? This is going to be great, epic. Bring it on.2 points

Very VERY warm day today at Donington. Only 18 cars booked on so bags of space on track. Nice to see Russ and Scott turn up for the afternoon, although both were a bit unlucky with gremlins.. Got loads of video to look through.. a tank plus four 20lt jerry cans worth.. my car is green in colour only! Will get a vid or two put together at some point.2 points

With all this lovely weather I can't believe this car has not sold yet. It has no on-going problems to sort out, it is just a case of jump in and off you go. I cannot stress enough that just prior to Ian's death he and Pat toured France and joined us in the Peak District with no breakdowns or problems. The car is in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, what are you waiting for?2 points

Tempted to chuck a last minute entry in and double drive my Mazda with Mr Cleaver - see how the next few weeks pan out.2 points

If you are judging numbers for the BBQ from the vote, do you have a mechanism to include spouses / partners / family members as well? I don't wish to share my sausage with my wife (on this one occasion anyway )2 points

Great to meet everyone for my first Westie run out today - seems I picked a brilliant day for it - eight brilliant cars, a great route, superb lunch stop and a huge tractor..... I turned up at Matlock with something over three quarters of a tank, but by the cake stop, the fuel gauge was sitting at zero going up hills and not much more pointing down. A trundle down into Cromford to the nearest petrol station found it open, but with no fuel so we carried on down the A6 for a few more miles and found a BP station, where I put over 18 litres into my 20 litre tank. A remap is in order anyway to sort the spitting back through the throttle bodies - maybe it will sort the fuel consumption - surely 22mpg is a bit heavy for such a light car, despite having to give it some welly to stay with a certain lady driver..... Lee should have some photos sorted in the next few days - I'll post them as soon as I have them2 points

Latest news: I'm going to arrange for some of the show kit to be transported to Blyton for Thursday afternoon where I and hopefully a few others will be around to help set it all up. We will have the Gazebo and the BBQ along with flags, electrics, lights, etc. This is still and bring your own beer and food (apart from the Marshals who we will be providing for [as is normal]), however as noted above there will be a small amount of real ale provided as per last year for which the proceeds will go to charity so make sure you also bring cash as well as your food, beer, snacks, music... Please make every effort to help out, attend, join in, relax and socialise, it's all about you...!2 points

It’s the Cheshire & N. Staffs monthly meet on Thursday the 5th July, 7.30pm, The Golden Pheasant, Plumley. We’ll stay at the Pheasant for the evening this time, give those that are new, or from a bit further afield a chance to catch up, without us rushing off into our cars for a run! See you there.1 point

It's daft. I'm in the cycling industry and one of the guys who works here knows a fair bit about this. Apparently a lot of pro cyclists have asthma or other respiratory diseases. b*****k*. I would bet good money that they get a bogus diagnosis so they can take these drugs which would otherwise be illegal. Why would you pursue a career in something that almost solely relies on you having very efficient lungs if you have a respiratory disease? And how would you get any good at it (to get towards pro level) if you did have such diseases? It's a shame that cheating and dishonesty is so rife through all aspects of life nowadays.1 point

Just booked on for the meal - thank you as always for your efforts in organising Graham! Will be in my van so will have 4 spare seats (and a bit of floor space for anyone feeling adventurous - rear windows are blacked out ) , happy to do some taxi-ing.1 point

BEER ORDERED Two pins (2* 36 pints boxed bright) of real ale from Irwell Brewery.... 1* Costa del Salford, a pale with some hopping which went down well last year 1* Navigator, more traditional bitter styled ale. 1st brew of this popular special for a while, which I've just sampled to check it's up to WSCC requirements. These come in at £2 per pint so charitable donations should be suitably generous .1 point

If it was a concert with 40s music and a flyover commemorating D-Day...maybe. Maybe. But definitely not for this. Plenty of places to hold rock concerts without the historical significance.1 point

No, I have to agree with you............ we drove passed it and there were a load of bikes parked next to it, but by the time we turned round to come back up again the bikes were just leaving ........... so it was a no brainner really. It was very nice1 point
