A quick spin around the Elan valley last week

Well, I chose Autoaid in the end due to recommendations here. My son needed them today; they came quite quickly for a weekend and were fantastic, bringing the car home and pushing it up the drive for us (broken release bearing suspected). Thanks to all who replied.

We know have a new area. Martin and I are the new joint AO's. We are having our 1st meeting on Thursday 5th. Please see the meetings area for details. Hope to see you there.

Crikey, what a turn out!!! I am so, so pleased. The route has now been set and I can tell you that it is nowhere near Buxton, but it is on high ground and the views are amazing, as are the roads. The lunch stop is sorted at a nice pub with lots of tables outside. It's not often that I get to do this.... There is a petrol station before you enter Sainsbury's car park. The cafe and toilets are just in the entrance to the shop. See you all there in the morning.

Well done, hopefully all the members within reach will help try and support your efforts! It’s hard work trying to get new areas up and running, but very rewarding when you do, both for the AO’s and for the members coming along!

Too many people tried to use the many club areas as convenient in-field parking in the past, unfortunately. It sort of missed the point, that we were “given” such preferential areas because the various club display areas are part of the show. and most certainly not what visitors are paying good money to come and see. Every random tin top on a club stand, is potentially something really interesting, that there wasn’t room for on someone else’s club area.

My first photos! - I've had the car since 1st April and tinkered a little bit - new tyres, new steering rack, geometry setup (but I still want to go to Procomp for a full corner-weighting session) I had a quick blat tonight in the sunshine and stopped off at the Shugborough Estate as the sun was going down - great light for Chrome Yellow!

It went perfectly and I have taken out a policy with your good selves !
