Have a good day everyone! Looks like better weather than the last time, my car had at least 10 kilos of water sloshing around the floor and in the carpets last time!3 points

I had mine wrapped by a 3M quaified fitter in 3M 1080 vinyl 3 years ago at a cost of £650(this was a foreigner cash job done at my house though ) If you have cracks or damage to the gelcoat though these would need repairing before the wrap. First pic is of it freshly wrapped, second pic is now after three summers use and 10k miles. It's showing signs of use, stone chips etc but overall I'm well happy with how it's wearing . I went for a matte finish to hide the finish of the fibreglass panels2 points

I've managed to persuade my wife to join me, so we'll meet up with you Tuesday from Strathpeffer and down through the Cairngorms. Anybody else want to join up with us before we all meet?1 point

The actual weights were wrong because of all this rain, so I will report them as comparisons rather than accurate figures. Ian's was by far the lightest and mine was by far the heaviest. Jordan and Trevor weighed the same and were the next lightest, followed by Stephen and Dave who also weighed the same. I think my boss might have something to say about the weighbridge weighing 120kg with just rain on it, I might be stating the obvious but it does normally sit quiet at 0.00kg. Your rainy day roof options - a full hood, a half hood or a brolly The weighbridge area Sogpuss Those with empty tanks needed petrol, while us with full tanks got attacked by a Zombie Trevor We arrived at The Barrow Hill Roundhouse where it nearly stopped raining. We parked up and went in search of their Full English Breakfast The Full English Then it was off to our new 'cafe with a view' which is in Wirksworth, just the other side of Matlock Bath. It was a good job that Ian spiced the journey up a bit as it was getting boring following Mr 25mph, then Mrs 25mph. The cafe parking area, well it wasn't but after I spoke nicely to the owner she let us park there. You know what is coming next - CAKE - look, mini full cakes all to yourself, how cute. Oh and the view, don't forget the view. The view, which also includes Jordan, Ian, Dave, Trevor, Stephen and Glen. It had not rained here all day, why did we not just drive around here? Bye bye, everyone made their way home. It's been a grand day with all the usual banter and useful information sharing that goes on at these things. @Robin (Red Spider) - Yorkshire AO you would have got very wet so you made the right decision but we do hope to see you soon. Thank you to everyone for being totally mad.1 point

Well just back from Preston to dreich Fort William and I am the proud owner of a Westie. She is bl**** loud and we went theough a baptisim of thunder and rain getting back with roof going on and off three times before I gave up. Went home via a mates house in Edinburgh so think I am a quarter through my miles allowance on my insurance policy already but that can be changed. Anyhow. Glass of wine and hope the weather is better tomorrow.1 point

I have just spent a very good half day with Steve and his team at Vibration Free near Bicester. It is a company who specialises in balancing anything that rotates from car related up to helicopter parts. I have had a problem with my motorhome ever since I built it with a vibration through the drive train. The dealers said it was the propshaft as they had fitted another temporarily and it was cured, so a new prop was made, expensive as it was three pieces and it was better but still bad enough to make driving a chore. There followed several more attempts to sort it out and it got gradually worse It took Steve 3 hours to sort it out balancing it on the van and now it drives better than it has ever done. He explained in detail what he was doing step by step until he had each part balanced singly and together. I wonder just how much money I spent that was not really needed in the past. If anyone needs and engine balancing or indeed anything I could not recommend them more highly. There is also a few good projects to look at that Steve owns and races in historic races all over Europe. I am not connected in anyway just very happy, hope this post is okay1 point

The glue is the same stuff, its just easier in a tube that you can put in a skeleton gun. Belt sander should be fine just get some 80 grit belts. Tony1 point

Oh it’s amazing!! Still taking it tentatively and checking all bolts when I get back. 300 miles now. Couple of little niggles (could be me over worrying) that I’ll put as a final part of my build topic. It just grips and drives so well, booking it into Northampton motorsport now just to get the final mapping done properly!!1 point
