So I had the car a little over a year and whilst I was happy with the looks I thought it could be modernised a bit over winter as it was a bit classic looking. I wanted to make it a bit more aggressive. Chuffed to bits on how it turned out. 2017 2018 Wheels powder coated in speedine gold (nod to my JDM roots) Carbon nv arches and doors Stripes off eBay.

Knockhill on Sunday - It was warmer than it looked. It The Westfield preformed without issue . Only problem is the amount of cleaning it now requires

Recent upgrade went well...... fluids drained and excess material removed allowing all gears to now be selected. Still running it in and hope to be putting it through its paces soon. I am of course referring to the ankle and not the car!!!!

A charming gentleman applied one to my HANS today without a word, then didn't for any cash. Suited me fine

But the clutch plate on the Focus is the wrong size for the type 9 or MT75 gearbox. I still have the one I took off my crate engine. It’s not got the right number of splines. The flywheel is massive and stupidly heavy so you’d not want it anyway

Great looking car, I remember F1 Gold Leaf Team Lotus whose cars were red gold and white.

I wished I’d gone for minilites, they look great in gold.

Just a point of order, an EV (or hybrid running on battery) is far from silent at normal speeds. The tyre noise is a major factor when a vehicle approaches from the front, unless it is spectacularly noisy, the bulk of the ICE noise comes out the sides and back. This based purely on my own experience of frequent walks in the countryside. The only stuff I hear coming just on engine noise are things like V8 jags and chav chariots. At low speeds though, yes, they can indeed be very quiet. I'm always exceptionally careful in carparks when in my hybrid, assuming it is in EV mode. Probably unavoidable, but the person sat in the driving seat seemed pretty intent on their phone, just glancing out the window periodically. Can't have helped. I confess to mixed feelings about the whole thing though. It is big news when one of these things messes up, and of course, it is a personal tragedy for those directly involved. But, we seem perfectly happy on the whole with the level of carnage (pun intended) that results from non-autonomous vehicles. Without some meaningful stats, we can't possibly have any idea whether these things are safer or more dangerous than Joe Average behind the wheel. I can see the appeal of autonomy for those cursed with a boring commute but can't see it appealing to me personally. There are already plenty of vehicles on the road that are driven as if they are autonomous, simply by using their 'driver aids'. There are also plenty driven by people who pay about as much attention to the road as the person sat in the Uber. As I say, mixed feelings about it all. But, I can't help thinking that it is coming, like it or not, as there are some potential significant changes in transportation that can follow once full autonomy becomes common, that I can see appealing to government.

Well that did not go well!!!!!!!!!!!!! The weather was bl**** freezing ( 1deg to 3 degs) with a strong wind and lots of rain---never been so wet and cold in my life! The Westfields all took P1 which was very very hairy with standing water everywhere We all passed on P2 as it was worse and cars crashed a lot .......... they then announced lunch followed by an announcement to say that "The meeting being abandoned due to conditions" Waste of a day
